Food was disappointing, La Toc was the only good restaurant. We weren't able to travel to the other Sandals resorts in St Lucia like they say we were. I expected way more from Sandals. Plus they quarantined us for 2 days bc according to them was the wrong Covid test.

After a very hard year my husband and I decided to book a vacation to saint Lucia. It was our first time at a all inclusive resort. We stayed in the one bedroom Penthouse Bluff with the tranquility tub. We got our COVID test and went trough the whole proceeds to in on the Island. I room was extremely sanitized. We had the most wonderful experiences with our BUTLERS. Coombe and Jessies we so great. They brought a delicious dessert to the room each night we stayed. The resort was not completely full as it had just opened less than 30 days before. The entertainment group was fantastic. We singers male and female were so good. We love to play the entertainment game and dancing with Timiqua, and Trisha they kept the party going. We rented a cabana for the day. We were blessed to have Keitha as our butler for the day. She was on point with the food and drinks we had such an amazing time we booked the cabana for two more days. The second day we had Ceria or CC. She was so wonderful and was their for our every need. The food was amazing and our experience was one of a kind. We booked another Trip to Sandals With PAT in The Loyalty department .We can not wait to vacation at sandals. Read less

First off, I would advise you to take the negative reviews of this place with a grain of salt when doing your research, especially given the current times we are in today. My wife and I vacationed here for our recent honeymoon and truly had a trip of a lifetime. We were fortunate enough to miss any of the Covid shutdowns as La Toc opened on August 31st and we checked in September 13th which was our originally scheduled date. We were lucky enough to snag one of eight two story butler villas on the beach with the private outdoor soaking tub. The place was a dream. From the breathtaking views to the massive soaking tub that my wife fell in love with, it really was such a great spot. The stocked full bar (not just a few airplane bottles. I’m talking full 750ml bottles of whatever you want plus all the wine you could drink), rainfall shower head, and the super comfortable bed rounded off an amazing living quarters for our stay but you don’t fly 7+ hours to a Caribbean island for the room. Our three butlers were absolutely top class and the service is highly recommended and worth the extra cash. Arba and Johnil took such great care of us during the day, scheduling our events and dinner reservations(which are required for all dinners due to Covid restrictions which again was understood by us.), getting us spots at the beach when it wasn’ red flagged or the sunset pool when it was. Could never forget our main man ROGER! I strive to have this man’s attitude in life. Roger hooked it up from confirming reservations for us to running a post dinner bubble bath out on the patio with a bottle of champagne just about every night. He absolutely made our whole entire trip. The food was amazing at every spot we went to and we both highly recommend splurging for the candlelight dinner on the beach. Massage was amazing and the Piton sunset snorkel cruise was unforgettable and was one of the highlights of the trip. All of the managers and staff were so great and were absolutely doing the best that they could given the current situation which if you’re traveling during these times, you cannot have the mindset of expecting everything to be totally normal. Only really “negatives” that we had were if you don’t have a butler or aren’t an early riser, spots around the pools can run out fairly quick on a red flagged day where there is no beach access. The golf situation was a bit of a bummer since the on campus course was closed for renovations and the other course across the island had 9 holes of its own closed for renovation. I’m sure it’s tough to maintain a pristine course on a Caribbean island but I was hoping for a little better quality of surface conditions given the price I paid for 9 holes with a cart, clubs(DEF bring your own clubs if you’re going to play) and a rider (with green fees covered). It’s also really HOT and muggy, but I’m only including that so whoever reads this knows what to expect. The staff can’t turn off the rainforest so I’m not sure why people include that in their negative reviews. Long story short, 9.5/10 for this place, get a butler if you can you won’t regret it, be prepared to sweat just about all day every day but the views and great people are worth it. And Covid isn’t going away so don’t use it as an excuse to complain or be dissatisfied. Being kind goes a long way (see attached photos for your reference) Read less

Worst Sandals I've Ever Been to. Met And spoke with a lot of other returning Sandals customers, and their feeling were the same or even worse! Anytime something wasn't right, it was blamed on Covid. This is about the nicest thing that I could right.

We are discerning Travellers and have travelled all over the world. We vary our price points, between the very high and basic rooms, sometime opting for a house/cottage, so we have a wide spectrum of perspective. I’m from Jamaica and have grown accustomed to high hospitality, excellent service and trained staff. We have stayed at many luxury hotels in Jamaica including Sandals Whitehouse on the south coast. We got it all at the Sandals resort Regency La Toc, our choice for my husband’s 60th birthday vacation week September 12-19, 2020. I’m not sure what made this trip so memorable, but I am offering some ideas here. Whether it was a return to normalcy from the stress and anxiety of chronic pandemic burnout; being able to relax around the 3 couples we got to know from Dallas, London and Knoxville. Or Perhaps it was the consistent cleaning/sanitizing that occurred every time a guest entered and exited a shuttle or vacated a beach chair; (we even saw staff sanitizing a boat on the beach one day). Or perhaps the government adherence and enforcement of a negative Covid test result within 7 days of arrival (rapid tests are not accepted); plus the hour and a half airport eat while added screening/temps checks are done). We were in a “bubble” and this instilled some confidence that this could be a true vacation. Maybe it was watching a wedding of a couple we met/got to know which was nicely done on the beach with staff in tow ensuring perfection, and a reception in the gazebo); Or maybe it was the highly trained staff who clearly understood the importance of delivering the highest standard of guest service at every turn, at all cost: Albert, Food & Beverage Manager; Brittany, waitstaff; Toni, Kimma, Anselma (club level office); Saleema, butler manager; Ravin, Front desk manager; the great floor shows of the highly talented Captain Neal); or the massages delivered by Macy and Vanselma (I could be misspelling this one). There are many things that catch your eye at this resort. Sunset at the deck off Armandos restaurant while sipping a martini; or the world class sushi at Soy, a picturesque bar perfectly landscaped overlooking the bluest waters and greenest foliage. The bartenders at every single pool bar will make you a “Bob Marley” and I guarantee they will all taste identically. Herbies’ bar is a good stop before dining at Piton, a Caribbean themed restaurant where chef specialty surf & turf (not on menu but available on request) will amaze you, topped off with a brownie style dessert and home made cream. Bella Napoli will deliver a lunchtime pizza reminiscent of a NY borough, complemented by a Greek salad so authentic you may forget that you’re on a Caribbean island. Neptune’s mahi and Armando’s Gnocchi appetizer are noticeable in flare. Then there is Kimonos, a Japanese style hibachi restaurant authentically decorated with a chicken/filet mignon/mahi mahi/shrimp dinner second to none. I couldn’t forget La Toc a French restaurant requiring formal attire and collared shirts for men. The authentic decor and trained staff with French accents to explain the dishes, was admirable. We went there twice; the escargot, Creme brulee, filet mignon are the ones to beat. Golf at Cap estates was fun especially the water coconuts on the 7th hole by Jacob. None of this matters or is even possible, without leadership. And so the real kudos here goes to the property general manager, “Mr. G”, who has delivered a product amidst a challenging time, where social unrest, economic and political uncertainty abound in many parts of the world, in particular the US (and Caribbean has felt its impacts too). Sandals has dealt with an early reopening, and managed to provide an excellent guest service experience notwithstanding. The confluence of factors here could not be possible without a true leader at the helm who understands that the hallmark of guest experience flows from the creation of a winning culture and a highly motivated and trained staff. Excellent job Mr G, to your wonderful La Toc resort and a memorable vacation for us on so many levels! Carol & Major Hammell (Marietta, Georgia USA) Read less
