Beautiful setting but the rooms are showing a little wear. The furniture in Room 100 had numerous stains and door needed some work. The exterior of the building has lots of areas that are bare from no upkeep. Breakfast is excellent as well as service in that restaurant. The bar and casual dining on the beach was dismal at best. The exterior of the building has lots of areas that are bare from no upkeep. Breakfast is excellent as well as service in that restaurant. The bar and casual dining on the beach was dismal at best. Waited 30 minutes for service and finally went to bar and ordered drinks. Bartender didn't know how to run a charge. Pools were very nice and adult pool wasn't crowded. Read less

We stayed here with two teenagers and another family also with children! The resort is GORGEOUS! Very modern with tropical outdoorsy flair! Very clean and housekeeping done daily. There was always plenty to do for the kids on the beach...free bike rental, kayaking, paddleboarding fishing with rod and bait included and trampoline on the water. In addition, there are paid activities right on the beach like the Aqua cycle & hobie sailboat . You can also book tiki boat, snorkeling, sunset tours and parasailing right from the Scuppers activities tiki hut on the beach. Tiki boat is a MUST DO. Sets sail at 5 pm with Captain Tony. Two hour tour accommodates 6 people max! Def do this $110 a person totally worth it, no food included just snack mix but includes beer wine and soda unlimited. But you can bring your own food aboard ! Beach is very clean & small but never had problems finding chairs and we went during busy winter break. Bar service is amazing! GIO at the dry rocks beach bar and tiki hut makes amazing drinks like coconut Mojitos and sunset dream. Calusa restaurant food is outstanding ! Seafood tower boat is a must! They also have AMAZING Sunday brunch with lobster Benedict and pink flamingo pina coladas and pink lady mimosa. There are two pools one for kids and one for adults only. And a hot tub jacuzzi in front of resort . There is a kids coordinator that has activities for the kids at the pool each day. There is also large green lawn where they have movie night Friday nights at 7 pm. They have pool table in main building and giant large scrabble game you can play on the wall in the library ! On the beach , there are little private coves where you can sit privately lounging with beach chair enjoying sunsets. Hammocks available in the shade in the mangroves area. Dry rocks the bar serves great food for lunch while you sit at the couches or swing on the swinging chairs ! I highly recommend this resort and would return in a heartbeat! I was undecided between this resort and Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada and I’m so glad I decided on this one! Beach, service, food , etc was absolutely spectacular! Read less

We were so happy with our stay here! We went with our nine year old and it was a wonderful family friendly place while still having plenty of intimidate quiet adult sanctuaries. There were activities for the our daughter and plenty of other kids to play with all day long. When we wanted some quiet time, we'd just hang out at Dry Rocks, the bar/dining option or nestle ourselves in one of the Hammock Beach areas. There are two beaches, one quiet small area with several hammocks and secluded sitting areas, and a main beach with plenty of seating, gorgeous views, and water fun. Kayaks, paddle boards that were free to use for people staying there. Also jet skis, catamaran, parasailing, and fishing charters available to book. They had free bait and rods from 8-12 everyday to fish with off the pier which was a lot of fun. The food and drinks were incredible, a little pricey but not anymore then good food anywhere else. You could diner outdoors/indoors, or takeout from the main restaurant Calusa & Dry Rocks the bar/restaurant at the beach. There's also takeout from the Tiki bar and a snack and bar at the pool area. There's a family pool area and a separate adult pool with a shared hot tub. Our room was the King jr Suite. The fold out couch for our child was nice, but very comfortable. I wouldn't recommend the pullout couches for sleeping. She ended up putting sheets on the regular couch and sleeping on that with the cushions. Our bed was amazing. Our room was cleaned and sanitized before arriving and cleaned each day if you wanted. Everything was updated and pretty. We had a balcony overlooking the parking lot, but it was still peaceful in the mornings and evenings. We had a great, relaxing time at this resort and it had everything we needed. We never left except to buy more sunscreen. The staff was exceptional and I think the higher price is well worth it compared to some other places we have stayed that was cheaper. Oh and as of Feb 2021, the staff were all wearing masks and sanitizing all public areas constantly. Including the tiny beach tables. There are signs to wear masks in indoor public spaces, while walking to your dining table or inside the lobby, or when interacting with staff like at the pool bar or tiki bar. 99% of people adhere'd to this. Some people were even wearing masks while walking around the outdoors areas, but most people did not wear masks while on the beach or outdoor areas. Overall, I felt that the resort was very safe considering you could do everything you wanted to outdoors and the indoors spaces were clean and following guidelines. We will be back! Read less

We split time between the beach and the pool because it got too windy for the beach a couple times. We had breakfast every day(Diamond members so they credit back $19 per day back to the room) and everything was great including prompt courteous service. I got the continental on the last day and it was so good. The shrimp and Fish Tacos from Dry Rocks or the Tiki bar were great as well. Good service from Karen at Dry Rocks, Camille at the pool bar and the waitress in Calusa who didn't know what the Japanese Plums were in the fruit. I had one smal issue while there and the Front desk went above and beyond to make us happy. It was a very pleasant experience. Read less

Resort fee includes use of non motorized waterfront activities like kayaking, fishing, and paddle boards. I would say that the rooms are not all that for the kind of money they command. This place is all about location and I wouldn’t necessarily call the rooms luxurious by any account. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway this is it. Read less
