Wish there wasn’t a ton of seaweed in the ocean and on the beach. The rooms were kept clean and 4th floor had a great view! One thing that needs to be said is there is one accessible outlet in the entire room and 0 in the bathroom in 2021 that is not good!! Bring your extension cords. Jerk house and flip flops are great spots to hit up for lunch and every dinner restaurant had amazing fresh food. The hotel has a great ambiance and is fun. They were only around 89 people in the hotel so it was easy to social distance but still have fun and make friends. And less than a mile from the airport! We recommend! Read less

Another shout-out goes to our waitress, Jessica, at Calabash restaurant- she was just delightful to talk to! Zachary who manages the property is an ace (and not just because we share the same name), and James helped us out more than once. Michi, at the excursion adventure desk, helped us out with our sunset cruise and deep-sea fishing trips. The food was much better than I expected for an all-inclusive place and would give 4+ stars to The Veranda, Calabash, and Silk. Many of the other restaurants were closed due to covid. PLENTY of pools, hot tubs, and beach space to get away from other people if you want. The only negative to the place was I should have stayed longer! Read less

Full disclosure I had not been here pre covid so cannot say what it was like then, only how it is now. Like every business they need our support now more than ever due to government over reach with covid as a guise. We stayed on splash side of resort which is preferred side for kids. Pros - drink in hand upon arrival - Cool towlet upon arrival - Lots of nice pools and cleaned daily in morning - Friendly staff and planners accomidateive to concerns - Food was good - Dinners good - Jerk chicken was amazing by pool - Marvius at the jerk chicken place went above and beyond. Chicken and fish were the best. He new us by name after just one say. Friendliest guy we met on site and always wanting to make us happy - Delicious burgers - Fire pizza is pretty good - Less guests makes for shorter waits and more space at pool, but you see staff filling multiple hats at multiple locations. Not sure if this is just due to covid - Tap Water is sanitized so you could drink it and not worry about being sick - Mostly no mask wearing except for near food nobody would tell you to put a mask on except a manager - Drive from airport is less than 5 minutes. Covid Protocols take longer than drive - Country singer in evenings on country night was really amazing - La Luna dinner reservation by the ocean was best dinner night. - 2 fun water slides. 48” by self and below can go with a parent - Water aerobics guy was phenomenal with great energy and fun - Management shows genuine concern for your enjoyment and experience - Kids club girls who also showed up at music nights for dancing, were very friendly energetic and fun for kids - Kayaks included which we did with the kids. Further down on beach. - Themed western night most fun for kids - Walk down further on beach for hammocks - beautiful. Cons - Have to pass PCR covid test just to get admitted to country. Max 7 days before flight but many covid testing citing 5-7 business days for possible return causing huge stress you will not be allowed to go and forfeit your trip which for our time of booking requires 21 day notice. - We received wrong room type when we arrived - covid reduced rates since covid not sure honored or discounted - Kids club misses. 0630 kids parade waited 30 minutes not worth it. Kids club activities not accurate on agenda said kids dinner planned but told New Years was cancelled despite being on their printed agenda. - They walked all the way to a scheduled petting zoo activity to find out it was closed for cleaning. You would think the kids club and zoo would have coordination given this was on agenda - Fireworks cancelled by local government due to covid supposedly but mouth blowing noisemakers were just fine I guess - Foam pool parties cancelled due to covid - Managers keep reminding us to wear masks but do bot think staff workers care if we do - No lobster (tuna was fish of the day every day for fish tacos) go to jerk chicken stand if you want good fried fish. - They charged us for full day excursion when we only signed up for half day snorkel and would have stayed had I not caught it day of event - No kids cups. Unfortunate for them they had to pick up a kids spill each night. They always get full drink and sometimes given glass? - New Year’s Eve meal was a disappointment. menu was fixed across all restaurants on site. No kids menu available for that meal. Was a fixed menu four courses meal was 1hr til appetizers were over. Meal was quite good but not getting a choice of what you eat should not take 1hr25min to get entre. Entire meal took 2hr which is not bad for adults but when you have kids it is way too long - Many staff suited up as doctors for New Years and walked around sanitizing hands. I would rather get New Years to think about a bright futures beyond covid so thought was poor taste - We had a larger party but had to split tables. Surprised me how often one table got served and how long it took the other one to get served despite us arriving together - Need to have more bottled water ready available. Had to keep requesting to room. - New Years music while good not the kind of hyped up music that would have been preferred (especially for kids) - Sometimes the late night snacks delayed opening or on New Years it was a set time at midnight but that was way too late for kids (or parents with kids) - I thought from a blog kids would be automatically given a kids welcome back. I had to request this at the kids club. - No fault of the resort whatsoever but the airport in st Lucia for American Airlines departing flights is nothing short of a dumpster fire. Arrived 2hrs early as recommended and almost missed flight, may be enough to keep me from returning in future Read less
