There was a strong smell of wet towels/pool water from the room. We asked to change the room, they moved us from 6th floor to 15th floor (executive members floor). Smell was better but not completely gone. Maybe it’s due to the humidity. 2. Being on the executive floor, the bathroom side mirror had hand prints, clearly shows the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. They clean rooms every 5th day, wasn’t too happy about this. 3rd day is acceptable but 5 days is a bit much. 3. Shower is small, if you’re a big person guaranteed you will not be able to move around or bend at all. Mind you, this is an executive member floor. 4. Parking fee is outrageous. $50/day. Valet staff was nice but if you’re in rush to head out, you have to wait for the valet to bring your car around so plan on waiting 5-10 mins, kind of frustrating. We did not tip them as much as we would have liked too because the parking fee was already too much! Read less

It's just a couple blocks from the beach and is walking distance to a ton of fantastic restaurants. perhaps best of all, they don't charge a resort fee like most of the other hotels here. So, you're going to end up saving anywhere between $30 to $50 per day! Now, for the not so good: The rooms are clean but very basic. Don't expect much. Also, some of the facilities is really dated. The hallway on the 11th floor had a wall that was pretty damaged. It looked like a water damage potentially. Also, one of the lamps in my room wouldn't turn on. Finally, the elevators can take a very long time. This is made worse with Covid because you don't really want to pack those things too tight. Read less

See below. I let the front desk know in the morning. These pictures are from the end of the day upon my return. The only change was the amount of water buildup. The system had been off for two days prior to these pictures being taken. I don’t like a freezing room so I don’t run the ac!! Needless to say, I’m not even going to argue with the desk.… Read more

After deciding to extend my 2-week trip to Hawaii for an additional month, I picked the Courtyard for a month-long stay in December. I made this decision because of the value (a good long-term rate & no resort fees!) and the location, which is in walking distance to the beaches and the main corridors of Waikiki. What exceeded my expectation were the front desk staff (shout out to Suki, Larissa, and Heidy) and their level of customer service, professionalism, and friendliness. I felt welcomed every day as I came and went from the hotel. They were also very accommodating to any requests (especially for the many times I left my key card in my room) and can be relied on for local suggestions. When there was a power outage one day (which is out of their control), I could see from afar that they were maintaining their composure and trying their best with hotel guests. The valet were very courteous and quick as well. As for the room itself, I had a deluxe room with a king-bed on the 17th floor which included a fridge and microwave. The room was facing the mountain, so I had a great view of the sunrise every morning and the crazy fireworks on NYE. I do hear some noises from outside and from the hallways, but it didn't bother me all that much. Due to COVID protocols, housekeeping came by every 5th night of my stay. Whenever I needed additional towels or amenities, I just made the request on the Bonvoy app and the items would appear at my door shortly after. Great stay overall! Read less
