Cuisinart Golf Resort & Spa

Anguilla, Caribbean

The hotel

You may suffer from wanderlust, but even the most dedicated drifter would find it hard to leave Anguilla’s Cuisinart Golf Resort & Spa. All eyes would normally be focused on the beautiful Rendezvous Bay setting, but this hotel steals the limelight from those seductive sands with its glamorous white architecture, chic suites and villas (many with views of the bay, or equally dazzling gardens), and its uber-stylish pool, which is a serene contrast to its fabulously fun splash pad. Throw in water sports like glass-bottom kayaking and snorkelling, a restorative spa, and a Greg Norman-designed 18 hole golf course and you’ll be forgiven for forgetting your glorious bay location.

Came here for a month with my partner to work remotely during the pandemic for a while. The staff here are so lovely and helpful and friendly they go out of their way to make you comfortable. The pool is great - wonderful facilities, great view, poolside service. It is next to the main restaurant and the Kaz Bar (which also serves tasty night-time tapas). In fact all the food we had throughout our stay at Cuisinart was great - as was the service. Breakfast options were all especially wonderful - as was the 'family BBQ night'. Live bands play in the evenings on weekends and some weekdays - all local, talented musicians (I'd love some more old-time music added to their playlists, personally as it's quite current-pop heavy). If you want an outing, a snorkeling trip or fishing trip, they'll arrange it for you. The kid's Splashpad playground is awesome! Great design! Even for non-kids it's fun and refreshing! The beach is beautiful, with great beach-side service. The beach-bar is also wonderful - great bar staff (as are all the staff, to repeat myself). Their pina coladas are the best I've ever had (SO fresh!), and they have great signature cocktails (in-house ginger syrup delicious!). Did some aqua aerobic with the in-house trainer which was great. Also was taught to ride a hobby-cat around the bay which was fun - there are some kayaks too with a helpful expert if you need pointers or they can take you on the hobby-cat if you don't know how to sail. Lots of activities to keep you amused if you need. Beach is calm and picturesque - view of St Martin. I hear they are renovating in 2021- in my opinion they don't need much renovating as it's all so great (maybe new mattresses as the ones there are good but on the soft side- my only negative comment, which isn't even very negative). Working from the room on my laptop was successful- loved the view from our room and the quick swims to refresh! Suites are lovely- well decorated and super clean and set-up very comfortably. I hear they are also continuing to employ all staff during renovation period which is really great of them to keep them on even when there are not many guests. I applaud that (hopefully it is true)! During Covid everything was very well organized with great care for health and safety. The government restrictions to get into the island right now (covid-times) are strict but well worth the effort! Note: You can drink the tap water, we did and it was fine- it tastes slightly odd, but no harm to stomachs. Read less

I stayed at Cuisinart Resort for my two weeks of required quarantine in Anguilla as part of a five-week trip to Anguilla during November/December 2020. I own a home in Anguilla. Instead of quarantining at my home, I chose Cuisinart Resort. For me, I did not want to be house bound for two weeks and rely upon others for food delivery, etc. I am a person who enjoys daily physical activity and Cuisinart has a very large "bubble" including a gorgeous 18-hole championship golf course. I do not play golf, but was able to walk the course daily (it was empty during my stay) and enjoyed the walk, the beautiful ocean scenery, birds, wildlife, etc. I was also able to use and walk on Rendezvous Bay beach (full resort service) and Cuisinart Resort has a great fitness center I used each day. I am a cyclist and they have good virtual video spinning cycling classes. So, for me, I never had "cabin fever" and the food and staff/service were outstanding. It was a great choice for me. I booked a beachfront deluxe suite on the second floor with balcony in building #7. Beautiful room and services were great. Fantastic ocean view from the balcony. Also, the Government of Anguilla and Health Department were very responsive and professional regarding implementing their rules on quarantine. I would gladly return to Cuisinart Resort on my next visit (soon) if quarantine is still required. Hope this is helpful to others. Read less

We stayed at The Reef, and also had accessed the CuisinArt area as well. You are greeted in the gorgeous open-air lobby by happy, professional staff. The grounds were meticulously groomed and had several amenities. Our crew enjoyed the pools, hot tubs, Bocce courts and bikes. The golf course had beautiful views and was a good challenge. It’s a great place to watch the sunset. The food was very good, a bit repetitive, but it was enjoyed by everyone. The rooms were enormous and very accommodating. White sand beaches allowed for total relaxation or an adventure of snorkeling (bring your own snorkel) or hanging out on the floating dock. Fantastic resort! Read less

This was my second time in Anguilla and the CuisinArt did not disappoint. Our junior suite room was huge and had a beautiful view of Rendezvous Bay which was by far our favorite of all of the bays in Anguilla. It was clean, nicely decorated, and smelled good. You did not have to fight anyone for beach chairs here. There was plenty of room for everyone and almost everyone could have an ocean front view. Staff were quick to set up chairs and bring you water on ice to stay hydrated We only ate at the mosaic restaurant on property and only for breakfast but it was delicious. Traditional favorites with a carribean twist like a jerk chicken breakfast burrito or swimmer crab eggs Benedict did not disappoint. The staff were kind and fun. Easy to work with and easy to please. The people of this island are fantastic. We would definitely stay here again. Read less
