I’d like to start by saying my husband and I have traveled to many Hilton properties over the years, and have come to expect a certain experience.... this hotel will not live up to that. If you are looking for a big room this hotel will definitely check that box, but not much else. We payed to park in a parking lot where unhoused people are allowed to park the vehicles they live in... with obvious drug use. Not to mention this is directly across the street from a marijuana dispensary with traffic all hours of the night.... We came with our teens and dogs and we couldn’t let them walk the dogs alone. We asked the front desk about the situation and we were told that the general manager is aware they are there. There were ants in our in room coffee / tea maker, disgusting! There are no amenities open, even though COVID restrictions have loosened up, I even heard the staff wondering why things weren’t opening up yet... it is close to the beach and about 10 minutes from the Monterey pier... last disappointment we needed to check out at 12 which is considered late... hotels is clearly not at capacity and they still charged me an “hourly rate” for our late checkout.... I haven’t even been chard that in Waikiki at peak season... overall wouldn’t recommend Read less

The young lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful, as well the lady the next morning at the front desk. We also had great customer service from Derrick in Dining. All things considered, a nice place to stay. Recently remodeled. Covid issues addressed, including a somewhat limited breakfast that does include hot items. It's the best Hilton family member in the Monterey area...we have stayed in all 3. The main thing holding back a 5 star rating? The $15 parking fee. Just dumb. Not sure how they justify it. Read less

Very dissatisfied with the management of this specific embassy suites. There was no hot water in our suite when we arrived and proceeded to called the front desk. They refused to change our room and sent a person to fix the problem. A man entered our room during covid to attempt to fix the hot water situation. After almost 45 min in our room he said the shower was hot and we had hot water now. After he left we attempted to shower and the water was still cold. As diamond members I feel this is completely unsatisfactory and not a professional manner in treating customers, especially diamond members. Upon checking out we told the front desk about our situation and they did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. Then around 1pm that day I received a text message asking when we were checking out after already talking to the front desk at 7am. We had left early to go to a hotel with hot water and take a shower there. During the covid pandemic I would expect they would take notice if a room had hot water when cleaning. I would not recommend staying here during covid. Read less

3.5 stars but rounding up to 4 because we got a great rate and I know the hospitality industry is struggling due to COVID. The good: nice room, very clean, free hot breakfast, quick check-in and check out, nice lobby and renovated rooms The bad: uncomfortable bed and noise from room above. Not a nice view (we were in room 404 and had a view of the highway). Loud road noise especially on Friday night. Loud and random knocking super late into the night/doors slamming. Not a quiet hotel for a sleeping baby. One thing that really bothered us was the trash situation. Everything is to-go/take out nowadays and the hotel trash cans in the room are tiny and they don't provide extra bags. We also had diapers to dispose of and with no daily housekeeping because of COVID, the trash built up fast. Some guests put their trash in the large bins near the vending/ice but they were overflowing! We called guest services to have housekeeping pick up trash outside of our door but the guest services number was often busy (they asked us to hold and once never came back). If they could deal with the noise and trash, I would recommend but as is, I wouldn't recommend if traveling with a baby or wanting a good night's sleep. I also joined Hilton Honors before booking and can't say we got any perks because of that status. Read less
