I was staggered to read the couple of negative reviews on here having now stayed a week at the Fairmont. The location, service, staff and amenities are all fantastic. We booked the ground floor room with decking, free transfers and butler service which we highly recommend. The transfers went really smoothly, picked up literally off the plane and escorted through fast track security and offered a beer in the Concierge lounge as our car was a few minutes away, Laura our driver gave us a few tips on places to eat on the journey over (about half and hour) and dropped us to the door where we were got a warm reception from Wanda, a glass of Rum Punch (get used to that!) and then were taken to the room by our butler Rolston who was ably assisted by Dawn, Edwin and Peter over the week. Dawn was great with organising the outbound transport and late check out and the butlers will also help with any restaurant bookings etc. you want. Room was amazing, right on the beach, spacious and bright, and the private decking with really comfy loungers looks out at the sunset each night. Beach attendants are very attentive, especially Michael (Mr Rainbow Socks) who like all Bajans takes time to chat every time you see them. Staff in the hotel are also great, too many to mention but Adrian (Mr Omelette) Chereese, Shania, and especially Nicole stood out. Breakfast is plentiful and has a massive choice of anything you might think, with a local content as well, and choice varies daily from the hot buffet. Also an egg station for omelettes, poached eggs etc. Most days it is in the Palm Terrace Restaurant which looks out onto the beach, bit a couple of times it was in Taboras the other restaurant due to private functions being held at the Palm Terrace, this was well communicated in advance and made no difference to the breadth of choice etc. in fact it was nice to have the variety of locations over the week for breakfast. We also ate once in the evening and once at lunchtime at Taboras (see separate review) which was excellent and as far as lunch is concerned well priced against the local beach bars (similar price to JuJus, Jumas etc, for the food although the beers are more expensive here as you would expect.) Free use of non-powered watersports (Hobie Cats, Kayaks etc.) and also free mask and snorkel from the Beach Club at the south end of the hotel. All in all a truly wonderful experience, made very special by the fabulous staff and a hotel we will definitely return to. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Read less

Fast track at the airport and David (transport) started us off on the right foot. We were made welcome by Glyne upon arrival who saw us off as well. The manager's cocktail on our arrival night was a nice touch. Nice to finally meet Natalie who is super! Jean-Christophe set the tone and often checked on us during our stay. The rooms are beautiful with plenty of storage, a large bathroom and balcony with a round lounger (that I would love to have at home) where we watched sunsets from every evening. I was happy to be back in Alison's section for housekeeping. She is lovely and an asset to your team. Shout out to Shakayla, Gabrielle, Nicole and Teresa at the outlets; Jahmeel (sp?) and Shane at the pool and beach. Loved chatting with them. My friend would like Adrian back at home to make those fluffy omelets. Jenna seems to put her heart and soul info the dishes she creates (delicious) and we loved that she came by to check on us after dining. There are many names that I am forgetting and am sorry not to have mentioned. How can I forget Ninja the cat who I bonded with only to be ignored until she came back to see us off before leaving. Upon departure it felt like I was leaving a visit with good friends. Hoping to get back soon. Read less

This is the hotel I go to in my dreams. It’s simple, really. A low line of motel-style rooms all along the sea, with the water practically lapping at your door. It’s heaven. The rooms are small and difficult to live out of (tiniest fridge ever), but it’s worth it for the serenity of this location. Service is very good and attentive - you’ll get an… Read more

The rooms are small and difficult to live out of (tiniest fridge ever), but it’s worth it for the serenity of this location. Service is very good and attentive - you’ll get an ice bucket on the beach and you can stay put all day. The food is not amazing and more Bajan specialties cooked with soul would improve the experience. We recently stayed at a different property along this coast and I was reminded of why I love the Fairmont. I’m already dreaming of my next trip back. Read less
