Finolhu

Maldives, Indian Ocean

The hotel

The designers had fun when they created Finolhu. A mix of retro-chic design and futuristic touches, it would defy its desert island setting if it weren’t for the rustic Maldivian gestures. Head to the funnel-shaped bar terrace or to Baa Baa Beach Club — enjoy one of the DJ sessions or cinema screenings or time your stay for a retro pool party. Visit the Milk Bar ‘old school tuck shop’ and take a stroll, swim or dhoni boat to the the rustic yet refined Fish & Crab Shack, set out on the sandbar. Among the many water experiences here are cruises to spot dolphins and, between May and October, trips to see manta rays. For something a bit different, try glamping Finolhu-style in the Beach Bubble Tent — chill out, watch the sun set and enjoy a private beach barbecue, before spending a night under the stars and watching the sun rise next morning.

I adore everything about this hotel — the staff, the design and overall vibe of this place! Our stay was stunning and will remain as one of the best holiday outbreaks of our family; the food in Crab Snake was truly delicious, we’ve also been enjoying the spa and other facilities 👍🏼 For sure, we would love to come back 😍

We booked the all premium package through Luxury Escapes for our first holiday to the Maldives to celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary - everything lived up to our expectation. It was really a paradise even though we were in the middle of a pandemic. The whole resort, location, facilities, activities, seaplane transfers, entertainment, and the food was exceptional. We booked an over water pool villa which was absolutely amazing. The surprise anniversary and birthday messages left my housekeeping and the sparkling wines by the resort was greatly appreciated. The service from all the staff was fantastic, from the management, restaurant, housekeeping, entertainers, activities and the bar staff.. very positive, helpful and great attitude all the way through albeit tough times due to Covid-19. Lastly Anna and Marc, thank you for providing such an amazing level of service and creating such a fun atmosphere. We are looking forward to visit your amazing resort sometime :) Read less
