Salishan is secluded and beautiful, a really thoughtful and peaceful property. The setting truly is lovely. I wish I could say that the full experience lived up to the beauty of the property. While almost every guest at the hotel were masked during the Covid pandemic, every golfer we saw was blatantly flaunting the rules, and being truly arrogant and unsafe. They would drive their golf carts up to the lodge and congregate on the patio, unmasked, making everyone else feel unsafe. The staff did nothing to enforce these critical rules. I wouldn't be surprised if an outbreak happened at the hotel, due to these unsafe, ignorant people. We traveled with a small child, and immediately had to leave the premises whenever the golfers showed up. It was extremely frustrating, and negatively impacted the whole trip. Our family booked at the Salishan for our last night of a long hiking/road trip up the coast. We just needed a place for a hot shower and some good food and pretty much picked it for the Tesla charger. It was certainly all that but so much more! The food and the service were outstanding. Our family booked at the Salishan for our last night of a long hiking/road trip up the coast. We just needed a place for a hot shower and some good food and pretty much picked it for the Tesla charger. It was certainly all that but so much more! The food and the service were outstanding. The room was spacious and updated with a great fireplace, vaulted ceilings and a deck with a beautiful view of the golf course and lake. The property was serene with a nice path to the beach. Even after all our magnificent coastal hikes, the short nature trail on the property impressed. We will definitely come back when we have a chance to golf and enjoy the spa! Thanks Read less

It was our first time at the Salishan Resort and I must say, our stay went beyond our expectations. We have two energetic boys and a dachshund. Here is what we appreciated: -Feeling of seclusion; nice balance of wooded areas, interspersed with lodge activities -Our boys played basketball on the outdoor courts, near a sand volleyball court and tennis center. -Beautiful Hikes through trees and across bridges. -Aerial Park-my sons enjoyed this part of the trip the most. Our guides Becka and Courtney helped to foster independence, while adhering to safety protocols. There were many platforms and you could opt for a more difficult journey or an easier one. My boys both chose different paths and loved it. Guides helped to facilitate our experience and teach us how to operate the various clips and ropes. -I've been to other adventure parks, and this was the only time I've been encouraged to choose our own path. I highly recommend it. -Firepits and S'mores were a hit! We even roasted hot dogs. -We brought our own bikes and had fun on the bike track. You are able to borrow complimentary bikes to explore the grounds. -Helpful staff-we called for additional towels, etc, and they met our requests. -Dani toiletries (hand soap, body wash, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner--all available in convenient pumps) added a nice touch. Nearby: We climbed on the rocks at the mouth of the Siletz River. Here, we searched for tidal pool life, such as crabs and fish. We swam and paddle boarded at the Devil's Lake entrance at Regatta Park. We will be back to explore the other hikes and visit Gleneden Beach. Hotel is adhering to guidelines for Phase I. It was clean and the staff wore masks. We plan to return when other amenities, such as the pool are available. Read less

I am 73 yrs old and the Aerial Park was an amazing. I really think every older senior in good health to do this course. Loads of fun and exercise. Of curse the staff was equally amazing, making sure I was ok and even offered to drive me down in the golf cart ( hike was 20 min up to the course). Would like to thank Tyler, Christa, and Becka for… Read more
