Awesome experience! The rooms were large and had amazing views of the ocean. They were clean and well-appointed. Pool towels were easy to get whenever needed. It rained our whole time here. The staff went above and beyond to keep the resort clean and dry and safe. Only downsides - it would be nice if the "resort fee" would include use of… Read more

The staff went above and beyond to keep the resort clean and dry and safe. Only downsides - it would be nice if the "resort fee" would include use of snorkeling, chairs, boogie boards, etc. Not really sure what the fee covered, when anything that we wanted to do/use had an extra charge. And the parking spots are REALLY narrow. We always had a spot near our building, but it was challenging to fit in it. Overall - a great trip - would absolutely go here again. Read less

At first they put us in the wrong room but after I called them they fixed it the next morning. The resort is beautiful and great location to all sides of the island. The beach was clean and not too crowded. Our room was ocean king that looked right over the ocean. We would defiantly stay here again. You won't go wrong with this location and… Read more

Celebrated our 30th anniversary and had a wonderful time. I'm picky about hotels and I don't have any complaints. Clean, daily housekeeping service, 2 balconies, great views of the beach. We arrived with flowers on the bed to celebrate our anniversary. A Hawaiian Monk Seal was on the beach when we arrived. Make sure you check out the sea… Read more

Checkin went smoothly. Staff is friendly for the most part. That is the only nice thing, I have to say about this property. This is from someone who has 1300 nights at Marriott properties. Checkin went smoothly. Staff is friendly for the most part. That is the only nice thing, I have to say about this property. This is from someone who has 1300 nights at Marriott properties. Room was dirty and dated. No desk, no outlets near table. Dirty room -- Found a pair of women's underwear draped on the bedside lamp. Lovely. Must have been a wild party. Breakfast. Elites get a choice of pretty much nothing. Add $12 for eggs and you cannot even get toast with it. Best advise is a coffee and a bagel for $12 at the coffee bar (Lites) Dinner meals are expensive and feature brusel sprouts as the main ingredient -- yuck. Suggestion -- Have dinner in town (there is a decent Italian/pizza and burger bar restaurant in Kola and some restaurants/cafe's on Poipu road. Even the Thai food truck on Poipu had better food (actually it was good!!) Worse part is the "come on down to see me and get 1000 points" phone call from the scuzzy car salesman concierge. You state I am here for the 1000 points and do not want to hear about a timeshare. You get -- no I am not here for that. Then some small talk and then the kicker, how about a $250 credit for a presentation. No... How about $500... No good bye (but I better get those 1000 points) Some advise, if you insist on booking here. First be aware (we were) you will pay tax, tax and tax, plus a $40 per day resort fee which is taxed, taxed, taxed. The rooms by the pool are extremely noisy. Request the building not near the pool. Do not use the APP to checkin as that will override any request. We requested a room ocean front not by the pool and the APP automatically assigned us a pool room. Happily the front desk gave us a room (but on the first floor) oceanview. Read less

Wow. This is a terrific resort. Very well maintained. Great service. Great ocean views. One of the best Marriott locations we have stayed. Excellent self parking. Great ocean access. Great check-in service. Definitely stay in the oceanfront rooms.
