We stayed last year and had an issue with bathroom cleanness but we informed them and they came to clean right away. The view is nice, and beach was nice so we figured one bad experience should not ruin it. We re-booked for this year. At check in it took forever but the worst part was the elevator wait of over 25 mins. But that can be over looked right? Wrong. Once we got into room, fire alarm was beeping they came and took battery. That was annoying but really pushed this trip from bad to worse was the bathrooms. Black mold was everywhere in all bathrooms- it was bad. We went to the front desk right away to report and they said they would take care of it. 7 hours later they finally call to say they came and cleaned the bathrooms and but an ozone system in the room to clean the air and for us to turn it off when we come in. In researching what an Ozone system is and proper user its sounds like you have to air out the room after you enter (which they did not tell us) with someone with COPD in our party the affects of Ozone on lungs doesnt sound good. We here we sit with face masks on our balcony airing out the place with fans hoping that gets the dangerous ozone out of the air now that the mold has been bleached to high heaven. Long story short- mold in bathroom is not acceptable. An inspector not catching the black mold (pictures below) issues was troubling and the cleaning of the issue of the room was not handled well. Very bad and this will be our last time. Not sure how the other condos are being managed but if they are like this, steer clear. Read less

Every time we come to Panama City Beach we stay at Tidewater beach resort unit 110. And are never disappointed! Great location on the beach and great for families! Resort is walking distance to Pier park and many places to eat. The unit is easy to get to with being a low floor.

While some of the elevators were down for maintenance during the the week we never experienced any long delays, neither did the other 2 families that were with us. Enjoyed Waves, good food, the service was a bit slow but didn't mind relaxed place. The only gripe I have was when the security guy wanted me to give him my drivers license to hold to check out a luggage cart until I returned the cart. I found that to be way over the top. The check in staff was very friendly and helpful. Read less

Stayed at many condos in PCB over the years and many are very similar. Third trip to Tidewater and several things stand out. Staff was very helpful as I had car trouble and had to extend my visit, room 315 was the best one bedroom I have stayed in, also unusual, that this condo has a restaurant open all day even during November. Had several meals… Read more

Stayed at Tidewater in room 2001 this past weekend, and was disappointed with our stay. We've stayed at Tidewater before and knew how long the waits can be for the elevators during peak season. We have had friends that stayed a few years ago and were over an hour late checking out because of the elevator situation. But we thought, it's October, so it won't be busy. Boy were we wrong. Waited at least 20 minutes every time we tried to use an elevator. The elevator closest to our room was down the entire weekend. Using the stairs with two toddlers was not an option. The size of room 2001 was great since we had 10 adults and two toddlers. We did not feel like we were on top of each other. And that is about the only positive I can say. The room is rated for 12 guests, but there is only seating in the living room for 5. There is plenty of room for more seating but they just don't have it. And the room needs some work. Door knobs were missing on the tv stand in the living room. Kitchen was not stocked very well. No pot holders, had to use bath clothes. The beds were the worst we have ever slept on in a condo. The floors were filthy, you could hear sand crunching under our shoes as we first walked in. Other than the elevator situation, Tidewater is a fairly nice place to stay. But we will never stay during peak season, nor stay higher than the third floor. Felt like we spent entirely too much of our trip waiting for elevators. Read less
