Waimea is a cool little town at the gateway to some of the best hikes on the planet. The cottages are an awesome place to stay. Historical yet very classy and comfortable Staff was very friendly and eager to assist. Rent a 4wd for the canyon

It included a full kitchen, coffee maker, blender, toaster and microwave. Since this was a vacation for me, I did not use any of the actual cooking facilities, except for the coffee maker and microwave. There was bottled water in the fridge and two packages of Kauai Cookies, along with shell leis and a Waimea Plantation Cottages tote — all nice touches. We had an ocean-front cottage, and loved hearing the waves and watching for whales (although sadly we didn’t see any) from our lanai. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were large, soft and plentiful, including two beach/pool towels. The only problem we had was that the stay wasn’t long enough! We shall return! Read less

Great place for quiet relaxation and renewal. Needed a place to get away from work and stress and this was the place. Had lovely walks on the beach and a great trip up to Kokee and Waimea. Highly recommend.

Waimea Cottages is a nice getaway and the old nostalgic feel of the cottages is a real bonus in my book. Things are clean and sufficient. Love the big porches/lanais of some of the cottages. Just a relaxing easy place to stay ....and beautiful vegetation/grounds around the cottages.. Try it...you wont regret
