Clientele and the local crowd gather at the mezzanine-level pool, which has portholes that allow courtyard strollers an underwater view of swimmers. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Walk to beach and nightlife

A walkable distance to the beach and nightlife attractions are the best thing. This being Miami beach, there are so many people out in the streets and staying at this hotel that are high on substances. This place is not for family with kids. I found mattress and pillow great. Staffs are well presented.

Firstly the hotel is easy to find and in a great location about 2 blocks from the beach and also close to the convention centre etc. The down side is no parking at the hotel but you can pull in to drop your bags off. please don’t use the parking lot the other side of the road it is extortionate, we used the G5 parking which is about two blocks away and is reasonably prices for Miami. The hotel itself has everything you need a nice roof top pool, hotel lounge area, bar, exercise room etc. the rooms are large and clean although in certain parts of the hotel some of the decor / lifts were beginning to show wear & tear but it didn’t detract from our stay in any way. The hotel staff were very friendly and happily answered our questions. The only other thing to note was at the time of our stay housekeeping were not servicing all the rooms every day due to COVID and staffing levels. If you needed anything you just contact reception and they provided it. We Would definitely stay here again when next in Miami. Read less

I stayed there 1 night before a cruise out of Miami so my son could experience South Beach. It was so close to CVS and shops and restaurants and about two blocks west of the beach. The rooms were nice. The pool was ok. Not sure where the pool towels were kept and there were sketchy people there when we went so we opted to skip the pool. One of the elevators was broken so we took the stairs up and down to the 6th floor to play it safe and avoid a wait. Bar seemed hopping at night although I did not go as I was traveling alone with my teenage son. The walk to the beach reekd of pot. I guess that is what you do in South Beach. There was this amazing italian restaurant nearby for quick treats, pizza, sandwiches and coffee. I think they served dinner too and wish I had gone for dinner there it was so great. The room was spacious and had nice closet space with shelving. A perk for someone with lots of clothes. Overall, ok for 1 night but expensive for an extended stay in that area for what they offer at the property. Read less

The Albion features in the Miami Beach art-deco museum and was built in 1939. It has clearly been going downhill ever since. Do not be deceived by the attractive lobby - it's the only part that is. If you arrive by car be aware that the unloading space will be blocked, there is no car park and no valet parking. If you arrive after 6pm do not expect help with your luggage. There is none. Enjoy struggling up the steps into the lobby, finding and loading your trolley, pushing it into the lift (choice of two but one doesn't work) and searching for your room in a poorly lit corridor not helped by a dark and very dubious carpet. If you are hungry there is no restaurant and the dismal empty bar has no food anyway. If you want to escape and visit the beach... Tough. It's not a short walk and very few taxis pass the Albion. Why would they? If you are desperate and return to your room and try to sleep to forget your unfortunate circumstances... Double tough. You will hear a strange continuous thrumming noise all night long. You will sleep badly not helped by the fact that even in a junior suite the usual water bottle(s) is not supplied. And don't ring room service because the phone doesn't work. Perhaps you will wake up, looking forward to breakfast. Be surprised when you see it is only $9.95 ...What did you expect??? Foolish person. If, in these Covid times, you want to print out your test result as a paper backup in case your airline does not accept Verifly... Treble tough. There are no facilities and it not possible (and we did ask nicely). Conclusion: Visit, if you must, at your own risk. Read less

Comfortable hotel very nicely located 5 mins walk from the beach and Ocean Drive. They will lend you towels to go to the beach. The nightlife is a 10 mins walk away. The beds are big but too soft which makes them uncomfortable. The breakfast is quite basic and you need to wait for service.
