Biltmore Hotel Miami Coral Gables

Miami, Florida

The hotel

Timeless, classic beauty — it’s what this place oozes. Since first opening in 1926, and a landmark in itself, the Biltmore Hotel has spent its years since winning award after award, and it’s easy to see why. You can take a dip in the huge pool (one of the biggest in the U.S.), have a round of golf on the 18-hole championship course, enjoy a relaxing treatment in the spa, and even take part in a cooking class. Little ones will be equally pleased too, with golf and tennis lessons, and a seasonal kids’ camp, they’ll never tire of things to do. And when the evenings roll in, head to one of the restaurants for some good food and, of course, a cocktail or two.

Recently stayed at the Biltmore w husband and elderly godmother, and couldn't have chosen a better property. Natalie helped reserve our adjoining rooms so could easily look after my godmother, Ernesto at the concierge desk supplied excellent restaurant recommendations, Claudine helped w some administrative needs, and Joseph kept all our systems running. We had considered South Beach and are so grateful we chose the Biltmore, instead. Very reasonably priced for the deluxe accommodations and amenities, excellent restaurants (breakfast at Fontana, afternoon snacks at the 19th Hole), and gorgeous tropical setting. Coral Gables isn't a walk-able area, but Ubers readily available. Thank you, Biltmore! Read less

This 1926 beauty is something to behold. The original touches amaze at every turn. I loved the furniture in my junior suite, and the balcony was a nice addition. The staff were all lovely and helpful, but special mention to Diana at the front desk, Ernesto at the concierge, Marshall at The Cellar Club, (had THE best Fritto Misto there!) and… Read more

My wife and I had spotted the Hotel back in 2003 when visiting the Venetian Pool and made a pledge to one day return as hotel guests. This pledge materialized when we stayed there for new years eve and the night before together with our three teenaged kids. While the hotel in general and the common areas such as the lobby or the pool remain impressive, there is nothing else that justifies the USD1000 per night. The service in general is substandard and all restaurants are very poorly managed. A real shame for such a great place with such a history. Read less

Having stayed at the Biltmore a few times before, it was my favourite hotel for a long time. However, it barely seems the same place. Yes the building is still beautiful and the pool is lovely but it is just not the same now. Service is not good, furnishings look tired, Brunch food was really bad. Ordered room Service and told 45 minutes but still had not come in 85 minutes so cancelled it and jumped in the car instead. Pool chairs and towels very tatty, room fixtures broken and tired. I don't know what has happened, maybe new management or cutting costs to recoup covid losses but this is NOT a $400 a night level hotel anymore. I truly hope they can fix what has gone wrong because I wouldn't return again to experience a similar stay. My only positive was the very friendly lady in the hotel shop who helped my husband pick out a cigar. Read less

Employees generally rude or robotic at best. They have no sense / culture of service. Front desk forgot the rollaway, no service at Breakfast so had to go to adjoining bar to get coffee in plastic cup (two days in a row!) Hostess didn't seem to care or even say sorry. Saw plenty of other rude / careless staff interactions with other guests too that I could not believe. After evening swim no towels available anywhere on the pool deck. Gym attendant had towels for me but said they were only for gym and refused to provide even though I was soaked and told her there were none by pool. Had to walk dripping wet through marble lobby back to room. The horrible service was pervasive, not just one bad apple, Paid nearly $800 a night and left angry because all the incidents.
