The hotel

The setting of this hotel is quite something. You'll be just steps from Tel Aviv's lively beachfront and a stroll to Jaffa Old City and the hip-and-happening Port. Check out the sights and smells of the vibrant Carmel Market and perhaps haggle for spices and local treats. It's not all about the location though. Little ones will love it at Dan Panorama — as well as making sandcastles, they can splash around in one of the largest pools in Tel Aviv and have fun in the kids’ club. And while they’re playing, you can head to the spa for some well-deserved me time.

Guest services, Regina and Maggie were extremely patient and very helpful in organizing a trip to Jerusalem by train. Maggie especially, went beyond to help us navigate the streets to take to the market and to the bus. Maggie even offered to get us the travel card necessary for the bus and train. Ruth in the Lobby Bar was more than pleasant when we had a light dinner there. The Bellhop and the Concierge were helpful but it took several attempts to be successful and get the information needed. I was surprised that the front desk staff did not have more knowledge and information about Tel Aviv and surrounding area. Read less

After my parents surprising myself wife and young son with a vacation to the Dan panorama, I was very excited after having great experiences in other dan hotels in Eilat. This all went downhill once we arrived into the lobby, where the staff were clearly not used to serving tourists who were not Covid patients, for some reason a simple request to have a baby cot or dressing gowns inside my bedroom felt like I had to beg for it to be done. Moving down to the pool where it has been nicely done up, however, reality struck how badly maintained the hotel is when you go to the pool bar where the menu is about a mile long with some impressive choices, where after deciding with the wife what to go for we were informed by a clearly miserable staff member behind the till that the only thing available was drinks. what a waste of time, that was until I requested a big plastic cup to which I was denied due to it only being given out with beers, not bad after spending a couple of thousand shekels in a so-called five-star hotel. I reassured my wife that the breakfast would make up for it all, coming down early in the morning as the Dan is world renowned for their breakfasts. To be very short it was a disaster, lack of choice, unhelpful waiters, A hot drink counter that could only pump out one type of coffee and the look on theor faces when I asked for a Hot chocolate they thought I fell off Mars. the last point which I did not like was the Bar in the lobby where the staff member Ruth was very pleasant however having a Bar without the ability to serve any form of cocktail but knowing how to charge fifty shekel for a orange vodka is beggars belief. Leaving off, this hotel needs a lot for it to be done in order for it to be considered a hotspot for people to come and to justify the huge price tag. A basic courtesy from the Dan hotel would give some sort of reason or compensation for this shocking experience. Read less

Decided to return to the Dan Panorama having last visited in 2015 Arrived 21st June 2022 it took the staff 35 minutes to check us in as they cold not fathom out how to not charge VAT and understand that we did not want to have interconnecting rooms with our married son. Decided to return to the Dan Panorama having last visited in 2015 Arrived 21st June 2022 it took the staff 35 minutes to check us in as they cold not fathom out how to not charge VAT and understand that we did not want to have interconnecting rooms with our married son. Room 1928 said it all, tired and dated from the 1990s possibly. Balcony too small to swing a cat, furniture dated. Breakfast was not like one would expect from a Dan hotel. Only one hard cheese cakes were available for early risers. Hot coffee machine broken one day and the other couple of days the server was some miserable wretch who should not be there. Forget about requesting a decaf coffee or hot chocolate. 25 minute wait for omelettes. Pool was full of rules and regulations, life guards busy on their iphones, guests sipping private drinks in glass cups and bottles next to the pool (Thursday 23rd June) Pool restaurant shut Drinks only available until 4pm Pool closes at 6pm despite it only getting dark at 7.45pm Child play area beyond a disgrace Loby cafe will sell drinks and pizza for take out but not cheese cake until manager okayed it We did have a great meal in the lobby restaurant 21st June with excellent service by Ruth. Another time we spotted a large cockroach there which I squashed When we checked out the service manager Chaim Hai asked us to write a review In short not a penny has been spent on this hotel and $295 for b & b is extortionate for what we received. It is a great pity as the hotel could be one of the greatest due to its location and the large pool Read less

I’ve stayed here 4 times 2021 Staff friendly, hotel up to standard Food fine, buffet style, I’ve been isolating so room service delivery They reply to all my requests, ie., t bags, fresh milk etc, no worries I would get you to have a decent view, over the pool or towards the sea, very important if isolating
