We live right around the corner in Back Bay and still went there to stay for the Teddy bear Tea and my daughter did not want to leave and loved the views and service even though this is our neighborhood. Service and in room requests through the app are exceptional. Nice pool not to deep makes it wonderful to use with kids. This is small but the bathroom products were amazing too and my 4-year-old daughter also got a robe and slippers her size which she loved. Read less

The bed in the room was the most comfortable I have felt outside of my own home. I dined in my room for most meals, the food and presentation was amazing. Highly recommend the rueben, the lobster Mac and cheese and tuna tartare. I cannot stress enough how happy and comfortable the staff made me feel everyday. Such genuine concern for my well-being, the staff ensured that all of my needs were met. Stephen and Brian at the front door we so nice to talk to and very helpful. I looked forward to seeing them during my stay. True gentleman. The complementary refreshments in the lobby and at the coffee bar (Willie and Jake were wonderful) were icing on the cake. I booked my next trip upon check out. Cant wait to return to this gem. Read less

The hotel also sits across from Boston Common park which was great to walk around. The service at this property was fantastic. Everyone from the front desk for check in to the doormen and the young men at the morning coffee shop. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Four Seasons is known for their service and this hotel was not a disappointment. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend a stay here...you won't be disappointed. We have stayed at this Four Seasons many times ( and I have reviewed it before.) We love the calm, luxury vibe, the bright well taken care of rooms with oversize windows (love the park facing rooms,) the friendly staff, the indoor pool area which provides a nice place to relax, and the location. The Sanctuary ( an outdoor public space added during Covid ) is a great addition. However the former restaurant, Bristol, where we ate breakfast has now been closed for a year an a half and at this point for the prices the hotel is charging I really feel is no longer acceptable. On recent visits we overlooked it because we like the hotel so much and just went to grab breakfast at nearby places on Newbury and Boylston, but this past weekend Boston was packed and those places had crazy long lines that we simply did not have time to wait on. The hotel has added Sotto Vento a sort of fast food breakfast place ( just pastries and egg sandwich to go but very limited) but there is no place in the hotel to sit and get a healthy breakfast ( oatmeal, yogurt, toast, fruit..) The only option is to order room service. We do not enjoy eating in the room so actually attempted to order room service breakfast to the sanctuary but we were told that would take 45 minutes. We needed to be somewhere and did not have time to sit in the sanctuary and wait 45 minutes. We have overlooked the lack of a breakfast option the past few visits but this time it was just really problematic. I think the lack of a restaurant has simply gone on too long at this point for a hotel of this caliber ( over a year is not OK) There were also signs in the elevator that there was a buffet on the 5th floor on weekends- we went to the 5th floor it was empty. I asked about the buffet and was told they did not have it this weekend ( which again is not OK the hotel was full.) We still love this hotel for all the reasons mentioned ( and in my previous review) but strongly feel that at a luxury 5 star hotel at 5 star prices, a healthy civilized breakfast on premises should be available to guests. Especially in a city like Boston where there are many other options for luxury hotels. We will try one of those other hotels on our next visit if the breakfast situation is not rectified. Read less

If you want the perfect place to stay for Boston Marathon, look no further. The Four Seasons is the best! The service is impeccable. The location is superb, especially if you are running the marathon. Everything was wonderful. I look forward to returning in April 2022.
