Promising that coveted ‘loft living’ feel, Hyatt Centric Wall Street’s roomy rooms (starting at 345 square foot each) come with high ceilings, oversized panelled windows, and cool modern styling. As you’ll be tempted to ‘stay in’, they’ve thrown in complimentary WiFi. But you’re in Wall Street’s only hotel – so making the most of your surroundings is a must, even if you only make it as far as the hotel’s mezzanine floor for craft cocktails at Centric Bar & Grill, or its decadent buffet restaurant for American dishes and handcrafted cocktails.

Where is it

On the corner of Wall Street and Water Street, this hotel is just steps from the New York Stock Exchange in the historic Financial District of Lower Manhattan. Its location puts you close to the World Financial Center, South Street Seaport, Battery Park, and boat trips to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. There are dining venues and boutiques nearby. Transfer time from John F. Kennedy International Airport: 60 minutes.

Standard 2 Double Rooms are 345 sq ft. Each has 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Deluxe Rooms are 450 sq ft and have a separate shower and soaking tub with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Junior Suites are 610 sq ft and have separate sitting and dining areas with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Nice hotel but 1) No water in room despite being told there was, 2) When I asked to have water brought to room was told i had to come get it 3) TV didn't work. Maintenance came to fix it but still didn't work after they left 4) Towels are equivalent to a Days Inn 5) Very noisy. So noisy they provide earplugs on the nightstand.

Context: we’re globalists and have stayed at several different Hyatts all over the world. We travel with our 5 year old. We recently spent a week at the Hyatt Centric Wall Street and had a lovely time. The staff were all wonderful and the front desk managed to make things right after we were given the wrong room. We had applied a suite upgrade award as globalists and originally given a regular room. All complaints we have about this property have been mentioned in reviews before mine so I’ll summarize quickly: Worn down - lots of dings, scratches, scuffs all over the property and in the suite we stayed in. Sad breakfast. I understand there not being much selection as it seemed not everyone chose the breakfast but cereal in boxes? Low selection of baked goods. Nothing gluten free. Not much fresh. It was fine. Just more the kind of breakfast I’ve seen in say a Hyatt Place which is what I would expect there as well. Not what I would expect at a Centric. Centrics have chefs and omelet stations. Coffee’s made in Italian espresso machines instead of a push button one. Like not even a proper fancy coffee was sad. If this had been a Hyatt place I wouldn’t even be writing this review. It would be 5 stars everything as expected but that’s not the case. Mattress- One of the hardest Hyatt mattresses I have ever slept on along with the flattest, saddest pillows. Again, Hyatt Place level although I am pretty sure I have slept on softer Hyatt Place mattresses. This was a back killing rock. No options for drinks or snacks late at night. No shop, had to DoorDash milk for our child. Also the address is the exact same as the building next to it so DoorDash always goes to the wrong place. Good people have been hired at this property which is its saving grace. The kind welcome from both lovely breakfast servers, the eagerness of reception to help, the thoroughness of maid service, etc. all made for a good stay. The location is very convenient too. Again, this shouldn’t be a category 5 Hyatt Centric! It could be if it wanted to be. The basis is there. The rooms nice, the restaurant potentially nice, etc. Hell the lobby is large enough to add a sort of convenience with drink and coffee. The scuffs and dings could be fixed and the mattresses and pillows replaced as well as duvet covers instead of the cheap bedding currently there. Until it is properly updated- everyone will feel ripped off paying Hyatt centric points/prices and the negative reviews will keep coming. Either update or downgrade. 20k/night is outrageous. The Bowery is the same rate. The brand spanking new centric at times square is only 5k points more. It doesn’t add up. Read less

Located in Lower Manhattan, was close to so many sights/malls, and different types of food. If your comfortable taking public transit there are multiple stops with two blocks of the hotel. the hotel is great everything was perfect from the time we entered our room was fantastic and the team at Hyatt Wall Street were all a pleasure to deal with we loved the bar staff they are mixologist's and the food was also fantastic

However, upon inspecting the bed, I noticed a missing flat sheet. After calling housekeeping, I was informed that it's provided upon request. The next morning, while searching for a coffee machine and asking housekeeping, I received the same response. Unfortunately, some hotel staff members were not very kind. Additionally, the breakfast was not worth the cost. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. It feels like I may have expected too much from a 4-star establishment. Read less
