Disney's BoardWalk Inn

Walt Disney World, Orlando

Virgin rating

The hotel

This magical waterfront property will take you back to 1930s America with its mix of buildings steeped in old-fashioned charm. It’s smack, bang in the middle of the lively BoardWalk with picturesque views of the harbour and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to explore. Kids will adore the swimming pool complex with its 61-metre water slide and white-sand beach, while adults can enjoy a leisurely swim in the quiet pool. It’s particularly fun to stay at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn as the whole area comes alive at night when duelling pianos get to work to the delight of the crowds, and everyone gets into the holiday mood. It’s dead easy to get to Epcot on the water taxi or by foot, and the restaurants of Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club Resorts are close by for dining variety.

Always awesome, always welcoming, always pricey, but renovated rooms are great! The Boardwalk Inn is an absolutely great place to stay and the staff and rooms are tops, always, loved loved loved the stay here. If you can book it, right off the boardwalk and night shows are great with a short walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios its perfect.

One of the best Disney resorts I’ve stayed at. Rooms are impeccable and perfect. Only one complaint : the chairs on the balcony are painfully uncomfortable. They are pointless. Disney, you can do better!! One other tip - resort is very large and can be hard to navigate. Do yourself a favour and take a little tour when you get there to orient… Read more

We accidentally found the quiet pool on our first day and then took 30 minutes when we were really looking! Read less

All 4 of us enjoyed the stay. The kids really liked the hotel decor, and love the chic rooms and water/lake view. its not a super-disney-kiddy place but this is what we wanted. we liked that it was less noisy and busy. beds and room/bathroom very good above average. the staff was exceptionally good, helped quick, super friendly and always extra… Read more

Minus points for late opening of coffee - you cannot make coffee in the room with sleeping kids, would've really appreciated just simple pot in the lobby for us jetlagged adults. Arcade +++:) Pool :) Read less

We are huge fans of staying on property so as not to deal with traffic daily plus e Disney heavily favors on property guests with their Genie plus system and early entry hours Read less

This hotel is beautiful! We loved the theme and the location. It has also been recently renovated and the rooms are beautiful. We couldn't get over the size of the room. Huge! We checked into the hotel in the morning and our room was not ready (we knew it wouldn't be). The check-in process was easy. The cast members no longer stand behind the desk, but come out to you with an ipad to check you in. I think it is supposed to make you feel more welcome and forge a connection, but it was a bit weird. Once we checked-in we handed off our luggage to bell services and headed to Epcot. Stopped at the Boardwalk Deli on the way to Epcot for some breakfast. Quick walk to Epcot. You really can't beat the location with its proximity to Epcot & Hollywood Studios. We also enjoyed taking a boat back to the hotel at the end of the day. For some reason it feels much more relaxing than the bus. I got a message in the early afternoon that our room was ready so we headed back. Once we got to our room I tried to call bell services for our luggage, but no matter which button I pressed on the phone (bell services, housekeeping, customer service) I kept getting a recorded message about reaching "AP Lost & Found" and that it was closed. So I walked back down to the lobby and asked bell services for our luggage. I also explained the weird phone. He just "hmmm sorry about that." I headed back to our room and our luggage was brought up very quickly. I tried using the phone later in the week to request blankets and the same thing happened no matter what I pressed. I went down to the front desk and requested blankets & told them about the phone. Same kind of "hmm sorry about that" response. Definitely a known problem with the room phones, which was kind of annoying. The room itself was beautiful! Huge, clean, comfortable, with a great balcony overlooking the boardwalk & lake. We loved it! My only complaint would be the lack of a desk. If you needed to get work done you had to sit on the bed or the couch (no coffee table or ottoman either). The room is definitely large enough for a desk so its strange that there isn't one. The beds were very comfortable and pillows were great. Liked the bathroom layout with the 2 sinks. Great shower pressure. The hotel itself is pretty, very clean and smells wonderful. We really liked the overall theme. I know some people complain about the lack of quick service food options. This wasn't really an issue for us. We tend to eat in the parks. I'm not sure why there isn't a refillable mug station in the hotel though. They could put one at the Belle Vue Lounge, or outside of Carousel Coffee. Currently I think your mug refill options are: Boardwalk Deli, the Pizza Window and at the pool. All of these options involve you going outside. Not a big deal except if its raining. We really enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back in the future! Read less
