This is the most outdated Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. It certainly is not worth over $300 per night average. All furnishings are very old. The carpet was dirty, the bathroom tiles were loose, and the bottom of the bathroom door look like something chewed on it.

My family of 4 adults and 2 children booked the family suite from Monday March 11 to Friday March 15h 2024.  The final invoice was roughly close to $3800 after conversion from US to Cdn dollars. Some of the  front desk staff lacked knowledge of local attractions when requesting information. I was told to Google it or go to the different marina in the area and do the research myself ... Not one recommendation was suggested to assist us. The 'Ocean View' room given was a view of a A/C unit and a side of another building ... When I made an inquiry of switching rooms to improve our view no efforts were made to improve the situation.  The pool was ok ... the pool chairs were old and there were very few umbrellas. When I asked for an umbrella the pool attendant told me the umbrellas were broken. I would like to point out this property needs to be updated ... ASAP. The decor and furniture are from the 1990s.  I have stayed at IHG properties from past vacations or for business use but this location was a huge disappointment.  Never again. I'm sure there are other locations on the strip that would provide better service and be updated with today's standards. Read less

The staff is awesome (Brian at the desk & Aliyah at the bar are our favorites! - we only wish Aliyah was at the tiki bar by the pool, because that was our favorite spot after work!). Heated pool, onsite restaurant, with live music on occasion & even a game room. We have even witnessed two weddings on the deck by the water! (We have been here for 4 weeks out of the last 6 weeks for business). This is an excellent value for business or holiday travel!! - only negaitive is decor is very dated - but it is very clean! This is a hotel that has the extra fees. The location is good, easy walk to the pier and on the ocean. It's not actually on the beach but the beach is close by. We had a rental car so we needed to pay for parking. The parking ramp is covered which is nice as it rained for 2 days when we were there. Unfortunately, the path to the ramp was not wholly covered. This was disappointing as it was raining. HOTEL The staff was friendly. The room was decent. View (room 714) was beautiful, over looked the ocean. It also over looked the restaurant/bar which I would wonder about late night partiers if it weren't raining. The room itself wasn't impressive, but it was fine. The bathroom was updated. RESTAURANT The restaurant was busy and the service varied. Our waiter for dinner was great, he was friendly and assisted our needs (didn't get his name). Breakfast was disappointing. The server never returned after we got our food before we were ready to leave. ARCADE Save your money. The arcade would be nice if all the games worked. We (and other patrons) couldn't get the skeeball games to work. The air hockey turned on and the paddles were there but no puck. There were no out of order signs. It makes me wonder how much money they are making on the arcade with no out of order signs. They are just taking peoples money on those games. The hotel will say that they don't run the arcade, however, we are patrons of the hotel and it is their responsibility to make sure their vendors are providing good services or products. And good customer service would actually put Out of Order signs on the games. POOL The pool area was great as was the pool. Unfortunately the only ones using the pool (due to rain) was a couple of local ducks. FEES This restaurant charges for parking, breakfast, and using the pool and the waterpark, even if you don't get to use the pool or waterpark due to rain. Read less

Wonderful staff! We arrived hours early and took a chance asking if our room was ready yet. It wasn’t, but we were able to park on site and not have to pay for parking somewhere before walking out to explore. While walking, the front desk called to tell me, the room was ready, which happened to be about two hours before advertised check in. Staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was convenient and tasty. It was so great to be in a beach town and finally find a reasonably priced restaurant that doesn’t have seafood that is only fried on the menu. Our waitress was courteous, attentive, and professional. It seems we haven’t seen this in a long time and really appreciated experiencing her professionalism while at the restaurant. Another reviewer mentioned the music from the bar went on during the evening, disturbing their sleep. I figured it would just be background noise. But the live music from the bar was so incredibly loud that I had to blast the TV in our room in order to hear the show I was watching. I get that live music at a Resort is a thing, but the live music shouldn’t be so loud that the patrons can’t even comfortably watch the TV in their rooms. The live music stopped at 10pm. The pool was heated, but it wasn’t as warm as it was described to be. The balcony view was nice and the view from the pool area is lovely. It’s a few minutes walk to Clearwater Beach so if you’re carrying lots of stuff, be prepared. The room is somewhat dark and very dated. I had to unplug the alarm clock in order to access an outlet to charge my phone. Overall, I was happy to get a balcony room with a gulf view for a relatively reasonable price. Read less
