The hotel

There are far too many facilities at this marvellous 1,500-acre resort to detail here. The swimming pool is the kind that has kids gasping with wonder - waterfalls, grottos, whirlpools and a 124-ft long water slide tower, as well as a new water jet splash zone and rock climbing areas for kids, creates an aqueous wonderland. On the lake, you can practice kayaking, canoeing, or just simply pedal away toward the sunset. There is even a white sand beach for those waiting to sit back and relax, and 45 holes of top golf, with a pitch 'n' putt for non-golfers to enjoy. There are some great restaurants and bars; the pool bar, On the Rock, is located by Lake Windsong, offering views of the lake and the pool, four 60" TVs, a full service bar and food service options. Leave everything behind to enjoy the happiest of hours under palm tree canopies and moon-drenched evening skies at Four Flamingos, a Richard Blais Florida Kitchen that provides an immersive dining and drinking experience reminiscent of a dreamy, tropical oasis. Be one of the first to enjoy their newest recreational features: New Water slide, Water Jet Splash zone, rock climbing for kids and the pool bar!

Years ago when I was in Orlando on business I met some friends here at Hemmingway’s Restaurant for dinner. The Hemingway’s Restaurant was replaced by the Lakehouse restaurant. This was my first time staying here on vacation with my family. When I booked my room via my Hyatt app Hyatt pre-charged $496 to my Hyatt credit card. Per my prior review we Uber XLed from MCO to the Hyatt for $69. My check in and check out went smoothly. I had a room with two beds, one king and one double bed. My 1227 room had a nice view of the lake, but I later learned that if my room was on the other side of the hotel overlooking the pool area I could have also enjoyed Disney’s nightly fireworks display. Room 1227 had a small balcony. We also had a very nice large 65 inch LG flat screen HD TV. My room service was above average. Two daily complimentary bottles of water were included. My basic room fee was $441 per night. The daily taxes, resort and other fees added another $110 per night so my total room cost was $551 per night. We stayed here four nights so my total room cost was $2,280 for my four night stay here. My hotel bill was correct. As you can see from my pics and video this is an atrium hotel with some glass elevators and a parrot sometimes located in the hotel’s lobby. My family ate at the Lakehouse twice for dinner and The On the Rock’s poolside restaurant for lunch. We also visited their market for our daily Starbucks small coffee for $6 each. I will post reviews for these places later. We enjoyed the pool for lunch and cocktails. The pool area is very large and nice including a kiddy pool area with a small water slide. The hotel offered a daily complimentary bus service to Disney’s transportation center, Disney Springs and other Disney resort areas, which my family utilized twice during our stay. The hotel also had one washing machine and one dryer for any emergency laundry service, which we also utilized during our stay. We enjoyed our four night stay here prior to our NCL Epic cruise out of Port Canaveral cruise Terminal 3. More to come regarding our cruise and other aspects of the hotel’s services. Read less

The Executive suite was outstanding. We loved having plenty of room for our family of four to spread out and relax. Our view from the 10th floor overlooked the pools. And we were delighted to see Magic Kingdom fireworks from our window.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Cypress Creek with my husband for a major birthday. I made special arrangements for the restaurant, 4 Flamingos to make a big deal. The hostess had all the information, even reading it to me, but somehow wires were crossed and it was overlooked during dinner. After I mentioned it to the hostess, who happened to be standing near a manager. They could not have been more apologetic. They empathized with the situation and later surprised my husband with cake and champagne in our room. It was very kind and a great remedy. Thank you to the team at 4 Flamingos for making this happen. Read less
