Look no further for sheer relaxation and restfulness

We stayed at the JA Palm Tree Court Hotel from 4th to 17th March 2024 and can honestly say we experienced one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays ever.
We arrived at approx 9: 00 am and were greeted by the lovely receptionist Gulam who welcomed us with such warmth and genuine hospitality that lasted throughout our stay. Our room should not have been available until 3pm, however he directed us to the breakfast area and we were just finishing when, much to our delight, he informed us that our room was ready.
The resort consists of three different hotels - all very different in appearance and layout and we were in an upgraded garden suite 471 which was a couple of minutes walk from the main building and reception area. It was ideally located for everything and we could also catch the little transport golf buggy to take us around the resort and all its facilities including tennis courts, golf course, the marina and the other hotels with various al la carte restaurants. We could not write this review and mention everyone as they were all exceptional but another team favourite along with Gulam who really impressed us with his kindness and hospitality was Bam, he took us to our suite and when he realised we were first timers and not in a hurry to rest, he took us on a guided tour of the whole resort, pointing out everything of interest in such a fun and friendly way we happily sat and enjoyed the introduction and little orientation trip. We enjoyed catching up with him and Gulam whenever they were on duty and they always greeted us with kindness and courtesy throughout our stay.
The restaurants were all amazing - the Italian - Sette was excellent and if you are lucky enough to get a window table, the views are spectacular as is the food, again the staff were all excellent so could not single anyone out and the team effort was first class.
Our favourite was the White Orchid and we worked our way around the al la carte varied and interesting menu. Tharun and the manager Rahul really were both excellent and made us feel very welcome helping with choice of orders - and I might add we were spoilt for choices.
We also visited the Indian Restaurant Kinara and loved the excellent menu. Sarika and other staff members were so lovely and accommodating and Ratnish the restaurant manager invited us into the kitchen to meet the chef and his team who really appreciated our compliments.
We loved Republik too and had some amazing steaks there - we returned several times for lunch and found the Goats Cheese with vanilla poached pears salad absolutely yummy and the crumbled Prawn patties were also delicious. Sudhip and his team did a great job in making us feel very welcome and ensured we were well looked after from the moment we arrived till we said our goodbyes. We also were served by Sanjay who was always very attentive and friendly and very eager to help with deciding on what to chose to eat - we were spoilt for choice in every restaurant we ate in.
We usually had breakfast at the Fontana as there was such a selection to choose from and food was always to an excellent standard - the omelettes were good as was the selection of fresh fruits and pastries. I loved the porridge and the natural honey and fresh fruit was very varied on a daily basis.
We did try the Lakeview Hotel buffet for breakfast and one evening meal as it was our first evening and we had not booked one of the al la carte restaurants. It was excellent, clean and a varied menu to meet all dietary requirements which could be said about all the restaurants. We also tried the Tamr Terrace for breakfast which did a lovely eggs benedict and mixed grill. Lunch was good here too and we had tried the Tamr Pool side bar too which had amazing king prawns. We were very well looked after by Aryan, Ganga, Shehan and Sharath and they ensured everything was perfect.
Our suite was beautiful and was so comfortable - shame we didn't get to spend more time in it - we did have garden furniture and our own sun loungers which we kept threatening to use but would end up by the sea front at our own hotel or we walked for some exercise to the Lake View Hotel which had an Adult only outdoor pool with ample sun loungers and peace and calm. Again the staff were kind and friendly and we enjoyed chatting to them all especially Anthony and the other pool side staff.
We could not praise this resort enough, the whole resort is immaculate and housekeeping ensure the resort is kept spotless doing an excellent job on ensuring everything is to a very high standard, spotlessly clean and pristine. We never needed to ask for anything and had fresh water supplied daily. The grounds too are beautiful and so well maintained. The flower arrangements in all three hotel foyers were beautiful and changed colours on a daily basis.
