The Coral at Atlantis

Nassau, Bahamas

Virgin rating

The hotel

Luxury in the Bahamas needn’t be off-limit to families. Built to bring all generations together, The Coral at Atlantis Paradise Island has re-opened after being re-designed and re-imagined with features, facilities, and fun for every age and stage of your crew. As well as the revamped rooms, with their balconies and tropical styling, and a sleek pool that’s more Miami than castaway island, The Coral adds decadent family touches like lollies at the swim-up bar and a gelateria in the lobby. Its setting on the island adds to the child-friendly feel, with Bahamian white sand beaches and Marina Village handily close. And you get access-all-areas to all the island’s dining venues and attractions, giving you something to thrill each member of your family — whether that’s plunging past shark-filled waters down the near-vertical Leap of Faith or splashing about in the Mayan-themed children’s water playground.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Freezing Ice Box Lobby and bare bones reno in rooms

Mar 28, 2024 RachelLP Summit, New Jersey

The rooms are partially updated in cheap materials. The lobby is a literal ice box. We would absolutely never stay here again. The only pros are it is near a little cave walk and aquarium we enjoyed each morning. Far and away worst option at Atlantis.
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great location for families who want proximity to nature and a short walk to water park

We enjoyed staying a 10-15 minute walk away from the water park but directly next to beautiful aquaria and lagoons. The walk was amazing and enjoyed by my 9 and 11 year-olds. The pool at the Coral was huge and clean, and we enjoyed a movie night by the pool. I liked staying a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the Royal and… Read more

Image of the Tripadvisor rating DO NOT GET A ROOM THAT HAS A CONNECTING DOOR

We stayed at the Coral - if you get a room with a connecting door- go right back down to the front desk and tell them that it won't work. These rooms have NO sound barrier. I had to listen to the room next door with 5 people- WORD FOR WORD for hours.... They might as well have been IN the room with me. I called the front desk and they wouldn't… Read more

I had to listen to the room next door with 5 people- WORD FOR WORD for hours.... They might as well have been IN the room with me. I called the front desk and they wouldn't switch me due to high capacity.... there are ALWAYS options. I have a young son- and he had to listen to the foul language and the late nights, it was completely inappropriate. What was even more inappropriate was management's unwillingness to do anything about it. Read less

The service was impressive. The room was gorgeous. We were so close to restaurants and shops and the water park itself! My favorite part was definitely the water park experience and seeing so many impressive fish tanks!
