Clean during Covid , only one elevator for 3 floors with a delegation of 1 for use . My room was comfortable and my bed was comfy but my shower refused to get even warm . I passed 🙈. Plug in the fridge when you get there . Window only opens 3 inches. Plenty of parking . Easy walk to limited choices in mediocre food

We stayed here on the first night of our three week vacation. Great location and very nice room. I can't fault the hotel there. The check-in and check-out were great also. The location is very nice, only two miles from the entrance to the park. I would have loved to give this place at least 4 stars, but... My wife accidentally left her expensive watch on the bathroom sink in the morning. She didn't realize it until we were almost in Las Vegas. I immediately called the hotel and received nothing but rudeness and arrogant. I was told that I needed to give my email address to them and they would send a link to the lost and found department. They said this was much more efficient for the staff. Well, I don't have that type of phone. Many older people don't have that type of phone. We don't need it in our every day lives. So I had no way of getting to my email until my vacation was over. I asked if anyone had turned in a watch from my room. Sorry, we can't tell you that. The lost and found is a completely separate department. So where do the maids bring items they have found in the rooms? To the front desk. Are they checked in? Yes. So why can't you look to see if a watch was found? It is a completely separate department. Then they hung up on me. Called again. Was told that someone from the lost and found department would call me. Never happened. Called the next day. Asked to talk to a manager. The manager doesn't come in until 3:00 pm. Really? Asked to talk to the lost and found people. The department is in a meeting. They will call when they are done. No call. Called back in the afternoon. The department is out to lunch. The entire department? Asked for the manager. Was disconnected. Called again and asked for the manager. Isn't in at the moment. Finally was able to give them my step-son's email and he finished the rather extensive process to file a claim. Three days later he received an answer. No watch matching that description was found. Well of course not. This was finally five days after we stayed there. What happened to the days when the manager could find out what items the maids found in the rooms? My wife knows exactly where she left it which means that someone working for the hotel stole it. Simple as that. Yes, it was her fault for leaving it and if it had been a Motel 6, I would expect to never see it again. But this place advertises itself as a step above and thus you would think that items left in the rooms would be turned in to the lost and found. As for the restaurant onsite, please see my separate review. Would never stay here again and advice against anyone else staying here also. All you needed to do was be a bit more courteous and have a lost and found that doesn't require a computer to operate. And it would have helped had someone from the lost and found department or the manager actually called me back. Really very simple customer relations. Read less

Fine. That's how I would describe the stay. If you're doing the Grand Canyon right, you're never in your room anyway, and when you' are you're so tired you're sleeping. Fine. That's how I would describe the stay. If you're doing the Grand Canyon right, you're never in your room anyway, and when you' are you're so tired you're sleeping. First things first, we saw strict staff compliance with COVID guidelines, including masks on every employee at all times. Also, our room was definitely clean, which we appreciated more than anything. However, our duvet cover had so many stains: food, makeup, unknown.... I understand the reason, the cover is monogramed with the hotel's logo, so they likely don't replace them often. To be clear, the duvet was clean, but the stains were bothersome. Also, the pump toiletries like shampoo and body wash in our room were broken. We brought our own, but the little things, you know? Overall, likely more upscale and better than other hotels in Tusayan. You're paying to be 5 minutes from the Canyon entrance, and for that, this hotel served its purpose. That and a (stained) bed to sleep in at night. Read less
