The hotel

When you think of an Orlando holiday you think of Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and the many other theme parks, water parks and attractions that there are to visit. However, you’ll be hard pushed to want to leave this hotel with the facilities and activities they have on-site for all the family! A huge resort, with spacious suites that are up to 5 times the size of your average Orlando hotel room, this is perfect for families and groups alike. The suites are complete with kitchen and dining area, for those evenings when you want to chill after a busy day exploring. The Sufari water park is an attraction in it’s own right, complete with water slides and a lazy river. There are other swimming pools if you’re looking for a more chilled vibe, and whatever pool you’re at, you’ll never be far away from a bar for refreshments. The activities aren’t all water based, there’s a huge indoor entertainment centre with arcade games and glow in the dark mini golf, the kids won’t know where to start! The resort feels secluded and self-contained, but you’re just a five minute drive to shops, restaurants and attractions on Highway 192, and only 10 minutes from Walt Disney World, with a complimentary shuttle bus included to take you to the door and back.

Great place for families with children lots to do but if you plan on going to universal studios please don’t book through the concierge services. They are 100.00 more at the resort vs the door or online and they would not price match. We didn’t realize that till after we booked with them.

Very pleased with our stay at The Grove Resort for our family of 5. Our vacation goal was for parents to relax and the kids have fun, which for an Orlando vacation sounds contradictory. The very large condo-like rooms with balconies (we had a 3-bed), and, of course, the water park and pools, allowed that. We basically stayed on site 2 days for every day we did an amusement park. We also went down to Tampa (only 1 hour drive). The full kitchens and nearby grocery store allowed us to save big time on family eating expenses. Big THANK YOUS to Marlon (security) for a wonderful greeting upon first arriving to the resort, being personable at the pool (same goes for Soby!) and being quick to help help us out with a door issue, as well as Steve and John at the nature center. My only 2 complaints I'm understanding of (I professionally work with property management and know staffing challenges) and that is i) the restaurants were understaffed during the height of season over Easter week that cause waits that made us avoid and ii) a resort this big you get every walk of life so statistically for every 10 salt of the earth guest you have one that is not (not the resort's fault). Only suggestion for improvement to add more of a wow factor: find space and add a water slide with tubes. Read less

Shaunte was a perfect server at the longboard bar and grill, attentive, positive vibes, personable. The fries were good, but the chicken was a little off. Fruit cup tasted fresh! Burger was too salty for me. And the Cesar wrap was great as well.

Sebastian @ Springs Bar was awesome and very friendly. Remembered us each time went there. Pool was clean and temperature was perfect for the children. Family enjoyed the water park especially the lazy river. Room was excellent and clean.

The main problem that I have with this resort is the pool towels. This is a family resort and the towels for the pool should be at the pool and water park, parents have enough to bring to the pool! If you forget to bring the pool towels from your room. You will loose at least 20 minutes trying to find your way to your room and back getting… Read more
