It’s our third visit to the hotel and its been better each time. The perfect resort for families with a choice of pools to suit everyone, we personally enjoyed the exec pool which club guests had complimentary access to and Rubel and Faysal were so attentive, making sure we enjoyed every second of our pool time and ensuring the kids had water and ice lollies to cool down in the heat, you just can’t ask for better service. The staff in the club lounge are also just impeccable with huge thanks to Raushan and Ahmad who literally make you feel like you are at home. These guys exemplify service with a smile and make sure every guest in the club lounge is taken care of whether they’re for the first time or visiting for the 20th time! This is no big chain hotel, even though the array of restaurants and facilities may make you think that it is. Don’t hesitate to choose JBH, we’ve stayed at a few of their hotels in Dubai but it feels like this is the one we will be coming back to year after year. Read less

Shahin and Mizan made our trip extra special by decorating our rooms. They were amazing ❤️ and very polite too. They went the extra mile- I absolutely loved staying here. Perfect For families and has everything you need on the resort! Hopefully you’ll be as lucky as me to have them both!

Booked a three night staycation deal for Eid having made the school boy error of failing to book flights for the family out of UAE early enough. This stay is a difficult one to rate as I have many conflicting thoughts about the hotel. The trip didn’t get off to a good start when I discovered at check in that the staycation deal didn’t include the expected Club Room access. I admit it’s my fault having read the small print but the way the deal is worded on the website is not very clear. Since this was an important factor for us as a family with young kids, I ended up having to pay another $160 a night to upgrade on top of the already hefty $600 a night I had paid. It’s hard to see what real benefit there was to paying for the staycation package over normal rates and if it was clearer I could have got the club room at a lower rate when originally booking. The front of house staff who seem to be mainly from ex-soviet countries are hardly welcoming and I found this attitude to be the same in the Club Room and pool areas. You get the impression they’ve been ground down by the type of “guests” hanging around the hotel. Back of house/cleaning staff were brilliant though. Kids club is excellent and choice of pools is great. Bit of a shame there’s not more for kids to do after dark though. What cannot be faulted is the hotel itself. The grounds and facilities are brilliant, very well maintained and perfect for families. Both our children loved the place and access to wild wadi was a bonus. The rooms are nice enough without being outstanding with great views. We had an Ocean Family Room which has two Murphy beds. One word of warning is these are very high off the ground and we had some issues that our 2 year old was too big for the cot but fell out of the Murphy bed and ended up having to sleep in the main bed. But there is one big elephant in the room with the place and that is the people who frequent it. The hotel and grounds are teaming with people who are making You-Tube videos or looking for that Instagram shot of the Burj Al Arab. You have the suspicion that most of these people aren’t actually staying there and have just walked in. I don’t think I was asked once in three days what room I was using and I spoke to one woman who confessed to wondering in and using the beach for years. Constantly being harassed by Russians making videos or being asked to move so someone can take social media shots is grinding but worst of all is the drunk and swearing brits. I was three times shoulder barged by guys looking like parodies from a Guy Ritchie movie whilst walking with my kids and I lost count of the number of times I heard British women calling someone a fu@@ing c@@t. I’m aware that this is bit of a common issue in Dubai where expats use hotel bars and probably been guilty more than once myself of being a bit over the top but this place was excessive. To sum up, it’s a lovely hotel with really fabulous facilities and for young kids will love it and that was what was ultimately the most important thing but it just lacked the class and level of service I am probably used to when staying in similar SE Asian hotel that costs a fraction of what this did. Every member of staff was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, we were made to feel like royalty and a special mention to Santosh and his house keeping team for the immaculate rooms morning and evening. The hotel has everything needed for family’s of all ages and both pools and water parks are fantastic providing life jackets for all children and life guards that are completely on the ball making sure everyone is safe. Towels and fresh water provided and refreshed during our time at the pools and beach, staff always on hand to help find a sunlounger. All restaurants serving amazing fresh food and such a huge amount of choice. The hotel was so modern and luxurious but the cleanliness was outstanding with attendants in toilets and lobby’s constantly cleaning. Read less
