Ernesto the dancing chef at sunrise is amazing! The best ice cream we have found here (if you’re looking for “American style ice cream”). He walks around the sunrise pool with an ice cream cart and scoops up cones or dishes and does a little dance. Cookies and cream was great.

Crowd control! We stayed at the sunrise and visited the grand for a day with our credits. The resort was nice and rooms were clean and big. Staff were pleasant , however huge language barriers if asking questions about food etc . If you have any dietary restrictions it’s very difficult and I did get very ill due to this. However our whole group (3 families) most of us got a tummy bug and one of the group members got t severely ill as you do in Mexico! Very difficult to get into restaurants other than buffet. Food left by hallway for long periods of time that’s unsanitary .. Although tons of workers it’s such a big resort you can never have enough staff. You will not get the tailored service as in other resorts it’s just too big. I didn’t like the beach it’s not swimmable due to seaweed at all you will need to stick to pools . Resort is very isolated and after a few days you feel like exploring but you can’t really unless you spend more money in cabs and downtown is quite far. Way too many young folks partying not very relaxing. It’s just my opinion I wouldn’t back or recommend but lots Of others like it. Read less

Excellent stay at Moon Palace. We was at Sunrise but visited Nizuc a few times. Easy to get around the resort with the golf carts as its very large! We are Indian and pure vegetarian (no egg). We didn't struggle with the restaurants. Agra is very good (be ready to get up at midnight to book 3 days ahead...it books out fast!). El Manglar is buffet… Read more

We didn't struggle with the restaurants. Agra is very good (be ready to get up at midnight to book 3 days ahead...it books out fast!). El Manglar is buffet style but has indian food available too. Momo (pan asian) and Los Caporales (mexican) were our other favourite restaurant. The Playroom in sunrise is a lot better than nizuc and lots of activities for kids. Overall excellent stay. Top quality food and entertainment. The app is good and you can download months in advance of arrival to see what's on offer and restaurant menus etc. It really does help to plan ahead as there is so much to do. Read less

Seriously the biggest waste of money. This hotel is a mess. Customer service is non existent, extremely boring for adults. Stay away from this property. For starters the check in process is a disaster. They make you check your bag with them and check in to the hotel (there is usually a long line for this) once you leave your bag and check in, they will reach out to you when your room is available where you have to go back to the line to get your room key activated (so you’re doing this twice and wasting double the amount of time waiting in line) If you are vegan, avoid this resort they barely have anything to eat. The vegan options you will find at dinner at the restaurants that require reservations and usually they’re booked up. Breakfast and lunch vegan options are almost non existent (bagel and peanut butter and fruit if you’re lucky) This hotel is really for kids. It was extremely boring as a young adult. There was nothing to do and I could not wait to leave. Given the price to stay here I would say never ever again. the customer relations team lack customer service and sensitivity training. There were electrical issues throughout my stay where myself and others kept losing power and they kept telling me there was no issue… Read less
