Don’t be put off by poor reviews, nothing is perfect after all. I directly conveyed changes I feel were not good to the hotel post stay. Resort is due a major refurbishment which is exciting, I hope this includes sun loungers. The beach is beautiful, pool areas lovely. I love the Chelonia restaurant, buffet style in the evenings but a la carte is always available. Vast majority of staff are very helpful and pleasant. I will never stay anywhere else, I love this resort 🥰. Read less

My younger son drank too much pool water and took sick, and the staff handled it very well. When my son was on the mend he requested banana and yogurt well after dinner and the bar staff accommodated the request easily. I cannot praise the playroom staff enough. The children begged to go to the playroom everyday. The ice cream parlour was also a hit. The staff really made the stay top class. Even the security personnel made sure to ask how my son was doing. Everyone was warm and friendly! I definitely recommend Turtle Beach for a family vacation! Read less

We arrived at 7.30pm and no one greeted us and offered to take or bags up the stairs to reception. Very little welcome and no welcome drink which has been our usual experience. The rooms were clean but bathrooms need work - the bath was covered in limescale. Also be warned that a long walk to sea view rooms along several corridors from the lift. Our first dinner was in the buffet as you have to prebook a la carte. It is a huge dining room which is somewhat chaotic and hard to get drinks ordered. The waiting staff seem very unmotivated and rather grumpy. The beach is beautiful and although there was a red flag all week you can swim at Sandals further along which is pretty good except when rougher a bit more difficult. Lunches are buffet in the both restaurants although on the first day, apparently due to a little rain, the beach restaurant was shut so it was back to the hell of the main restaurant with a massive queue for tables and delay for food to be put out. Absolute chaos and for the price of the holiday not at all acceptable. The other lunches were slightly better on the beach but food is limited in choice and the salad bar is very basic which is very disappointing. We booked a la carte every night after first night. These are both very good and a redeeming feature of the hotel. The staff are much more friendly and attentive and the food is well presented with the menus changing daily. The swimming pools looked murky with scum so we never entered. Had a day trip to Crystal and Tamarind which were a bit better but again service is really poor and the staff seem quite moody. Pool at Crystal clean and Tamarind beach better served with clean and newer sunbeds. Beware sunbed rage at Turtle - all reserved by 7am, the beds are ropey and falling apart. Overall we probably wouldn’t return. Elegant hotels have lost their elegance. We have been to Crystal for years and they are not the same. Marriott you need to wake up. Read less

It is a great place that combines all together. We want to thank Shodia for her help with arranging business meetings and for looking after us during this trip. She was checking on the business everywhere and was visible everywhere throughout the week and we are all very grateful to her for her support.

And the annoying part was people were also reserving them for little kids. I realise this isn’t the hotels fault but was a bit shocked by other families reserving them for little kids when there clearly were not enough to go around. The few times we did get one, we just shared one or two with our little kids. I wonder if the hotel could put in a policy where you can only reserve them for kids 12 or over. Or get more sun beds…?
