Our King room (352) itself was lovely. The bed was so very comfortable and the bathroom felt luxurious. The only down side was the view as all we could see was the top of the roof below and a row of trees blocking the mountain view. The indoor/outdoor pools, hot tub and spa were wonderful and we enjoying spending some time relaxing there. Our dog also felt very welcomed as she enjoyed the fluffy dog bed. The bowl and food left in our room was also a nice touch. Every employee we encountered during our stay was wonderful and made our stay even more delightful. Beware of additional fees when booking as they can add up quickly and significantly add to your total bill. Read less

I wish I loved this hotel, but I did not. I think booking through a 3rd party was what may have contributed to us getting a room that appeared to never be used based on the about an inch of dust on furniture. Room got cleaner as the days went on. I cannot believe housekeeping would continue to miss something so obvious. Check in. Gentleman was very friendly and professional telling me about the features of property and there are a lot. He typed in his computer and offered an upgrade to a large suite(forget the name) at 1200.00 per night. Yes, per night. This seems just silly. That is not a specular offer, that is being a gangster trying to rip a consumer off. Whatever, we declined. Was really excited to see room which was a very long walk from elevator(I like to get in my steps, just wish this did not feel so intentional of shoving us in the furthest corner of the hotel). The room....not to Fairmont standards. No luxury, but instead a standard hotel room with 2 queen sized beds and absolutely nothing to write home about...After staying at the Fairmont in Montreux we figured we were in for a treat. Not so much. Good things....Le Labo bath toiletries, the live music, the great free(or resort fee included yoga classes, location, concierge, and spa service). I did use the steam shower each evening and loved it, but was shocked at how dirty the pool and locker room areas were(think hair clumps on floor, dirt footprint marks all over the floor, water bottle top and used towels in steam shower, used washcloths in showers-gross) I understand they were busy, but really someone should clean this area more thoroughly. I used it despite it being dirty. As you can see from my other reviews, I am not a negative reviewer, but this was not a stay I would book again. The location was great for hiking and many people working there were very kind and helpful, it was simply the sloppiness of the property that was very unexpected. One other positive note, we loved Portobella(sp) for breakfast. Food was good, fresh, and sensibly priced. Gym was also very nice. Read less

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was so clean, very well appointed and beautifully decorated. It had a lodge feeling with touch of elegance. My daughters loved the gym that had a ton of free weights and machines. The pool and spa room was amazing too. Definitely recommend this beautiful castle in the mountains. Memorable hotel.

We stayed here only 3 short nights, but so wished we could have stayed much longer. The hotel was beautiful, room with a beautiful view of the snow capped mountains in the distance. A short walk from the Blackcomb Gondola and the shops in lower Whistler village. A definite place I will return to if ever in Whistler again!!

The guided tour I attended was run by 'Dani'. This experience was amazing, free and made exploring much easier. She was personable, knowledgeable and overall exceeded my expectations. HIGHLY recommend giving this a try at your next stay. I did the lost Lake tour and plan to attend a daily tour for the rest of the week!
