Checked out at Baha Mar and Aaliyah was fantastic. Had a bunch of questions and answered each one and was very professional! Couldn’t have been happier with the experience because of her!
Image of the Tripadvisor rating 5 star property/staff but food/drink cost are extremely high

The cost for food materially weighed on an otherwise fantastic vacation. The hotel, staff and grounds are outstanding. The property is extremely clean and the staff is over the top friendly. But if you are a family of 5, you will end up spending upwards of $1k/day on food. 2 adults, 3 kids at buffet Bfast - $250. Lunch $200. Virgin strawberry… Read more

But if you are a family of 5, you will end up spending upwards of $1k/day on food. 2 adults, 3 kids at buffet Bfast - $250. Lunch $200. Virgin strawberry daiquiris $20. 5 soft serve ice creams $50. Two tiny (good, but really tiny) tacos at El Jefe, $22. Etc… Dinner for two adults (2 apps, 2 meals, 4 drinks) $250+. Dinner for the whole family $350+ on avg. There is NO place on the property to take a family of 5 for a reasonably priced meal. And given downtown Nassau is NOT tourist friendly after 4pm, you are stuck on property - you have no choice but to pay. Moreover, there is not much to do for kids after 5-6pm. Mini golf cost extra ($25pp). There is a basketball court that kids would use, but that’s really it. One massive positive: the waterpark. Unreal amenity included. Loads of fun and no lines. We did a day at the Atlantis. Clearly that’s where the cruise ships bring their passengers - extremely crowded. You wait 20-30 mins per water slide at the Atlantis vs No waits at Baha Bay. Plus, Baha Bay has way more attractions. However - Food at the Atlantis felt relatively half priced vs Baha Mar/Bay. Bottom line: the property and staff are/were 5-star. But we won’t be returning as a family of 5 due to the cost of food. Read less

Don't bother unless you want to spend a lot of money for a subpar experience. It was basically a Vegas casino plopped in the middle of Nassau. You'd be better off going to Vegas. Staff is rude, pools and beach are over crowded. Also, if you have any issues with mobility ask for a handicap room because it's a workout just getting into the… Read more

Image of the Tripadvisor rating The worst resort I’ve ever been to.

Where do I begin, well, if you enjoy being ripped off this is the place for you. I’ve stayed at all inclusive resorts with much better quality and service. Xcaret for example is 100 times better. I enjoyed nothing at this resort, and nowhere in the fine print did it say I would be sharing a room with ants. This place should be out of business… Read more
