The food is okay, nothing more, like in Cuba. DANGER Be very careful, the hotel toilets have maze doors, this means you have to zigzag to the right, left and right to get to the toilet. What I couldn't have known was that the guy before me had spilled his beer there and the floor was wet. I really wanted to pee and went in quickly, feet went off me and landed on my head!! I lost consciousness and a vacationer (Vancouver firefighter) was giving me CPR when I regained consciousness. It was a nurse from Gaspésie who revived me with ice. I have never been in cardio-respiratory arrest, not at all! Back in Montreal, the CHUM operated on my brain on January 13, to remove a large hematoma on my brain. I had my last control scan yesterday and everything is fine. The morning after the accident, the manager Angel of the hotel came to see me at lunch to tell me to ease up on drinking, which was not the case. A harmless incident that could have cost me my life! The original resort includes houses which is better for seniors convenience. Separated bedrooms are great for friends. Everything was clean in the home. The kitchen was well supplied. The a/c unit worked very well. The golf course view was pleading to the eye!

We have been coming to this resort for over 20 years since my parents are owners. We absolutely love it and look forward to our yearly visits. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our villa had been completely remodeled, new floors, appliances, furniture - everything. My parents stayed in a 2 bedroom villa while we stayed in another 2 bedroom villa a couple of doors down (thank you to Melanie in guest relations for making that happen!!). I love that you can walk out of the villa and be surrounded by beautiful trees and lakes. The villas are very comfortable, very clean and it was so nice to have shampoo, conditioner and body wash available. The kitchens were also very nicely stocked. The grounds here are very nicely kept with everything you can imagine. There is golf, tennis, mini golf, several pools, arcades, shops and dining options. You are also extremely close to a publix for groceries and several dining options within a 5-10 minute drive. This is a relaxing stay and highly recommend when visiting Orlando. Read less

This is a great family vacation destination. Next to Disney, yet has so many amenities that you don’t have to leave the property. We’ve been owners for over 30 years and look forward to each visit. Something for everyone, and great golf courses too.

This week I stayed at the Orange Lake Resort 🏨 at 8505 W Irlo Bronson Hwy (listed as Kissimmee FL but that’s the mailing address, it’s actually in Orange County FL). The resort is huge! I was checked in by the wonderful Kendrick who explained everything to me with lots of patience, answered all of my questions and was very sweet.📋 I headed straight for the lazy river🩱, which was my goal. I arrived early in the day so I could enjoy the amenities….and there are a LOT! They provided my parking pass 🅿️ and room key although the room wasn’t ready and called me when it was and I had access - didn’t even need to go back to the desk which was a huge perk! The lazy river area nice with loungers and some umbrellas ⛱️What was strange to me here was that you had to rent a tube for $9 to float and when I asked where to pay, I was told it was all the way by registration, which was a long drive so I said forget it and floated on my back 🤣. I wasn’t the only one with this idea and so the lazy river was not as relaxing as it could have been because a bunch of non-tubers were playing and splashing and all that jazz. It was more like a snake shaped pool.🏊🏻‍♂️ There are several quick service restaurants 🍽️and places to grab drinks, restrooms, water fountains, some shops etc. Around 2 pm it started to get pretty busy and people were just removing things off loungers and using the loungers themselves. Two rude people next to me arrived about 2 and opened the umbrella right next to my chair and hit me in the face with it and said “oh do you mind?” Ugh I didn’t want to be the rude police and wanted to enjoy my stay so I just moved my lounger into the sun and mentally had words for them 🤬 Did I mention this property is huge? It’s a ‘1,450-acre resort that's made up of four villages: North Village, West Village, East Village and River Island. Combined, these areas feature seven pools, a lazy river-style pool, waterslides, four golf courses, three arcades, eight dining options, a mini golf course, Putt-Putt® course, kids' center and much more.’ The room they assigned me was wonderful but way too big for just me. It sleeps 8. It was quite lovely though. 🛌 There was a full kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lovely screened in porch with table and chairs, washer/dryer, the whole kit and caboodle. At night I was able to see the Disney fireworks from my porch. 🎆 The food, I have to admit was not good, at any of the food places. Bringing your own food or delivery from outside of the resort would be the way to go here. There was also a great beach club area with two pools and a stage, games, and just outside of the pool area was a brach on the lake 🏝️ and you could rent boats and jet skis. 🚤 All in all a very nice place and would be perfect for a long stay. The staff was really nice all around. It was a nice visit. 😊 Read less
