The pool and beach areas are great, the kids loved the kids club with their own splash pool and indoor play areas. The beach has the most perfect, white, fine sand and the beach was warm! The gym is very good and in fact probably had more than most gym's in the UK, along with it's own pool. This is such a lovely resort and I'd highly recommend it. Special shout out to Gayatri from the dining team, really took care of us and made our stay even more special with the cheesecakes! Thank you! Read less

I am writing to lodge a complaint about my stay at your hotel, which was ruined by poisoning and inadequate client treatment. Upon checking in on May 1, 2023, I began feeling unwell and took Panadol medication from a nearby pharmacy. The following day, while preparing to go to the beach, I drank water from one of the hotel's bottles and immediately sensed a bitter taste. Realizing something was amiss, I sought help and was attended to by the butler. Despite my pleas to send the bottle for testing, the hotel disposed of it, disregarding the severity of the situation. Subsequently, I was hospitalized, and tests revealed alcohol in my system. However, as a devout Muslim who abstains from alcohol, this finding was deeply concerning and shocking. Upon returning from the hospital, I received no apology or empathy from the hotel staff. Instead, the manager on duty, Aaron, dismissed all my complaints and was rude. Despite explaining my Muslim faith and past stays during Ramadan in this particular hotel, I was met with indifference. I requested for a partial compensation of my trip as well as some complimentary treatments to make up for my vacation days spent in a hospital, but the hotel refused to take responsibility. As a regular guest across your chain of hotels, I find this treatment unacceptable and a breach of consumer rights. This hotel used to be my favorite, we spent 6 months there during COVID lockdown. It was almost like a family and this experience completely ruined my warm memories. Furthermore, I must emphasize that the hotel's decision to hide and subsequently destroy the bottle containing the contaminated water is deeply troubling. This action not only deprived me of crucial evidence but also hindered my ability to seek legal recourse and pursue justice through legal channels. Attached you will find the doctor's diagnosis detailing the discovery of alcohol in my system. It is truly disheartening to experience poisoning at a renowned five-star family resort. I cannot stress enough the severity of the situation; I was hospitalized and found myself in a weakened state, characterized by slowed speech and periods of unconsciousness. Read less

Once again we were thoroughly impressed with our visit, as the excellent standards have been maintained. Room 179 is entirely suitable for us, as it is more spacious, has a great balcony and as we don’t use lifts is more appropriate to and from Olea restaurant, the beach and pools. This St Regis is a brilliant resort for families with young children. It is ideal. The level of service and amenities available are really top notch. The taxi transfer from the airport is about 25 minutes - it’s so convenient. Although we ate in the Thai restaurant on one occasion which was very good, Olea restaurant is our favourite. It is just so, so nice. And the service is extraordinary and obliging, with Gayathri leading the team and the star girl Dede, along with the excellent Abdul Rahman, Shanda, Shan, Ishwari, Fernando, Bina and Dea. All made us very comfortable and were especially kind to our little one. Furthermore, the breakfast offering at Olea is excellent as are the extended timings. The kitchen brigade went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after, with Lileth in particularly cooking special dishes for our fussy youngster. Many thanks too to Mosskiss, Quasai and Khalella who work so hard and do so well. We enjoyed the kids area - Sandcastle club, and the various games and arts and crafts available there, with specific credit and thanks to Gian, Jennifer and Ishara. The beach is brilliant and safe, but it can get a bit windy on occasion (which is why we brought a kite). We did see a pod of dolphins on several of the days too. We hope to be back again next year, many thanks. Read less
