I'm sorry for the rude staff of this hotel. I stayed for two nights and saw the worst behavior and now it's my last night. I hope to get out of this awful hotel as soon as possible and get rid of the disrespect they gave me, but the behavior of the staff was very bad. I'm really sorry for the Sun City series

At arrival I asked for a room that was not located on ground level as the last time at Sun City there was an overwhelming odour of mould. Anyway, my room was on ground level and mould odour still there. No water in room on arrival. No fridge and nothing at all except the bed and tv. Anyway, my room was on ground level and mould odour still there. No water in room on arrival. No fridge and nothing at all except the bed and tv. Going to the pool I ordered food and drinks, paying with the room card. The poor waiter returned stating that no facility was opened on my room and that we had not even checked in 😡I was assured the account was open. Anyway, we are still here “slumming it” hoping tomorrow will be better. Read less

1) Upon booking we had to present the actual MVG card as the virtual one did not suffice yet banks within SA operate with virtual cards. We had to physically make another card at the cost of R100 just for the hotel to have a copy in order to be checked in. 2) Shuttle service wait is an average of 30 minutes. 3) Queing for a table at breakfast is the norm here, but just because we are 2 people, doesn't mean we should be overlooked in the line for preference to be given to crowds of 4 upwards. First come, first served should be the ruling. This is just an unfair practice by the breakfadt restaurant management. 4) At the end of our stay we noted a food bill charged to our room that was not for our room. At the time of the this said bill, my husband was at the casino waiting on the 7pm draw with family and I was asleep in the room as I wanted to rest before a birthday dinner at 8pm at Carlistos. We disputed that bill and paid only for the bills that were actually ours and that had our signatures on as this is the rule of the hotel (signed bills by the occupants of the room) Tshepo Mpofu the bar manager then called us after check out around 1pm insisting that this bill was ours, harassing us into paying and actually said a family member may have signed yet we were the only family residing at Cascades, the rest of our family was at Lefika. He then called my husband back and then stated that his wife (me) is the one who signed for the bill. Apparently I sleepwalk, eat and sign for stuff in my sleep just before a large family dinner date! I find the accusations, lack of processes and harassment to be shocking and extremely unprofessional. Before making any such claims, the hotel should pull footage. I didn't pay over R10k to stay for the weekend to cry wolf over a mere R378! Btw i do not eat sushi!!!!! Really upset. This hotel does not deserve the 5 star rating. Disappointed and insulted! Simple hospitality, it has none. We went to the greek restaurant Maltos by the swimming pool, spent a fair amount of money. The food was average. My daughter wanted to swim i the pool, the pool watchdog jumped into action and said my daughter (6 years) was not allowed to swim because shes not a guest. Well guess what Maltos I will never eat there and cascades your hospitality ia by far the worst at sun city. Read less
