This is far and away the best and most luxurious hotel I have ever been to. It is a dream of a place, makes you feel like you are living on clouds. Slim Aarons glam, delicious strong cocktails and salsa dancing – I would give it twelve stars if I could.

We decided to check out this hotel because it was rated highly by Condé Naste this year. Overall, not our cup of tea. We were expecting some measure of self-awareness woven into the whimsical and aesthetic colonial environs, but the place is extremely British without the slightest hint of irony. Imposingly so. The property is lacking some luxury touches that usually come at this price point. The food is expensive, quite bland, and per the property’s rules, the only option (even then, with limited availability). I would be remiss if I did not mention that the hotel’s idea of “jerk chicken” is offensive. Service is rigid with not much attention to guest comfort. There is no service to the deck loungers; you cannot eat there and you need to venture into the bar to get drinks. The staff do not pick up around the deck throughout the day, and as such, many seats sit vacant unclear if anyone is returning. Except, the staff are sure to start clearing off the chairs and packing them away for the night starting promptly at 4:30 pm. Those aren’t uncovered again until 9:30 am. This practice gives the property an unwelcoming feeling. Especially in a place where most rooms are set back in the gardens, I would have liked to sit on the deck loungers in the evening and not on the moldy chair covers. The beach situation is less than ideal: there are no beach loungers and it seems like the hotel hardly expects guests to go into the water. But of course, this is the best thing about being in Barbados. For us, this stay was a helpful reminder that Barbados is indeed a land of luxury but those luxuries don’t cost what Cobblers Cove is charging - the sun, sand, and breathtaking blue waters; Mount Gay rum, fresh fish, real jerk chicken, roti and fish cakes. Next time, we’ll stay where we can get the classic Bajan comforts around the clock. Read less

From the attentive staff, the lush, beautiful gardens and the charming rooms right by the ocean, my husband and I have never felt so relaxed and looked after. The free afternoon tea and watersports didn't hurt either, along with the Manager's cocktail party, where Joanna and her team ensured that we had an enjoyable evening. We did venture into Holetown, which is about a 15 minute taxi ride away and found that it is good for shopping at the local mall and had a few small shops in the area, which sold souvenirs to bring home with us. We will definitely be back! Read less

This was the second time I stayed at Cobblers Cove and it was more magic than ever. Our bedroom was charming and right next to the beach, and I loved sitting on our little balcony secluded by beautiful vegetation watching the sun set. The food was fresh and delicious and the cocktails were second to none. The staff were brilliant - they really went above and beyond to make sure my friend and I felt individually cared for with all attention to detail. They took me and my friend out every day in Cobblers' beautiful pink boat to learn to waterski. They even organised salsa classes for us, and a picnic on the South Coast! The gardens are fantastic and the gardener is incredibly knowledgeable and can tell you all about all the local plants. Thank you to all the staff and I hope to be back very very soon. Read less

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful few days at Cobblers Cove last month. Every time I visit (last there in 2021), the owners appear to have undertaken more renovations. This time, I noticed a new shop and changes to the roof of the dining area which make it much lighter and airier. And I enjoyed smoked flying fish at breakfast, which I don't recall… Read more
