The hotel

Big by SoHo standards, the 46 story hotel offers views, a very happening bar scene, a spa and great dining, so posing the dilemma, to stay in or to go out? Three words distinguish the 391 rooms and suites. Space. Glass. And Fendi. An average of 500 square feet guestrooms offer a lot of space and all the rooms have floor to ceiling windows. They are also the first rooms in Manhattan to have been furnished by Fendi, better known for their handbags. You'll find an exclusive oasis at the terrace on 7, where you can soak up the sunshine and take a dip in the pool, accompanied by panoramic views of Manhattan and modern Hawaiian cuisine. If that's not enough, there is also The Babor Signature Spa, where you can put your resort credit voucher towards a unique Moroccan Hamman experience or a healthy glow facial.

All the hotel is located in a great location, And the views from the rooms were great, the negatives outweigh the positives, in particular, make sure you check your bill as there were numerous discrepancies and double charges, spotty room cleaning and turndown, and elevators that are a disaster (plan for 5-10 minutes waiting to get to and from… Read more

The rooms are always spotless. The customer service here is unmatched! Starting with the front desk, every person goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Whatever you need, they make it happen. It was my fiancé’s birthday and we received complimentary champagne. When we requested extra toiletries, they were brought to us within 5 minutes. Honestly, this is a 5-star hotel with 10-star service. We live in NY, but is now a tradition to book at the Dominick for staycations and I’ll be recommending for all of my guests! Read less

Glad you asked. A+ EXCEPT shower. Very confusing. Sprays cold water on bather and floods bathroom while trying to figure out how to work the system.

The staff was professional and friendly. We did experience several instances of long waits for the elevator, this is the bane of staying in a high rise. Not sure if it was inadequate capacity or maintenance issues, but it can be a little annoying. I also wish the had a lobby type of space to meet friends and have a drink. The space on the 7th was tiny and unappealing and the Vestry restaurant didn’t open until 5 and was busy with its own guests. There was a Cafe on the Mezzanine, but it wasn’t open. Read less
