This is a long review. I was expecting to stay at the Fairmont from 7/7-7/9. I booked through American Express Travel. Then Covid hits. Canada has a mandatory 2 week quarantine trhough June. Therefore, to stay, we would need to arrive in Canada on 6/23. This is impossible for work purposes. Also, my fiance (getting married on 6/13) has bad asthma and is considered high risk and shouldnt be traveling. I fully admit I bought a non-refundable hotel stay. However, due to the pandemic, this isssue had been waived for most. I called the Fairmont and they stated they would not speak with me. I have been going through an intermediary (Amex Travel) and they stated they would not give a refund. Therefore, I am expected to eat the cost of the hotel stay. This isnt right, they are wanting to keep the money and because of a pandemic have decided to leave me with the tab. This was going to be the honeymoon. I cannot believe they will not provide a refund nor will they speak with me. They are essentially demanding we travel when my wife is high risk? That is insanity. I cannot believe they will not be flexible. What a horrible experience and awful hotel chain to treat prospective customers like this. Covid has affected us all in so many ways and wanting to protect my wife from this is essential. Their expectation to keep the money and not work with me has left me dumbfounded. They obviously do not care about customers or their safety. They will not work with me nor speak with me. Read less

My family and I visited inside the Banff Springs Hotel and we were impressed with the decor and the other various displays that were there. The surrounding area around the hotel was scenic as well. I would recommend visiting this location on your next trip to Banff. Ron Dreyer Calgary, Alberta

Our family took a trip of a lifetime to Calgary, Alberta Canada and Banff last summer. While in beautiful Calgary we took a side trip to Drumheller, home of numerous dinosaur fossils. We also included the Hoodoos formations while we were there. After a few days we traveled to Banff, Alberta Canada and stayed at the lovely, historic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Our children and grandchild immensely enjoyed the hot mineral swimming pool, our daughter enjoyed the fabulous spa, and we all enjoyed delicious dining there. The room was comfortable and the scenery surrounding the hotel was breathtaking! Our entire family enjoyed a float raft trip down the Bow River! There was an abundance of wildlife to view, and the quaint, picturesque town of Banff was within walking distance from the hotel. It was a very memorable trip! Read less

Beautiful hotel and the service is 5 stars plus. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Room view was superb and the quality of amenities was great. Relaxed in spa and had great treatment packages.

The Banff Springs hotel is one of my favourite places I have stayed in. We got acess to the gold floor which is a nice lounge with food and snacks that you have can have access to for an additional fee which I would highly recommend since you also will get a nicer room. However if that doesn’t interest you, that’s okay because the hotel itself has draw dropping views and architecture. Newly updated rooms, gorgeous pool, gym, and sitting areas along with multiple restaurants!! Overall loved staying there and would for sure visit again. Read less
