The hotel

Overlooking a secluded beach, this chic haven has panoramic views over Patong Bay. Location in Patong’s southernmost corner. 10 minutes walk to Patong Beach and 25 minutes drive to Phuket Town. Transfer time from Phuket Airport: 50 minutes.

Stayed for 10 nights at the Amari and had the best time. All the staff were amazing. Joy on reception and Kim in breakfast but the shining star is Jipce who was the shining star in the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was the difference between a good holiday and a great holiday

This is no doubt a fantastic hotel but needs to bring back the excellence it once had . Anyone who has visited this hotel for the last 12 years will say the same I’m sure . The service is still very good but not much interaction from staff round the pool area and at breakfast The breakfast is now just okay it was once outstanding… what happened to the honey comb ? All the personal touches staff asking if you would like ice coffee . Only occasionally hit and miss asking you for tea and coffee . The noodle station never had any meat only pork balls . Not much choice of noodles ! This should be your showcase we are in Thailand after all ! The rooms are as they have always been cleaned to a high standard and beds and towels changed whenever you require them. The balcony cushions could do with a change . The pool area is good has been painted since our last visit. Overall I would not hesitate to stay here again as it is the best location in Patong but sadly I think the hotel has lost its 5 star quality it once had and concentrates on the club area and not the hotel .. The hotel is far enough from the crowd but near enough to access Patong - even on foot! The view from the hotel - anywhere is fantastic. The Clubhouse crew is outstanding and the cocktails there during happy hour are the BEST!
