The hot dog was never cooked and the nachos didn’t have any chicken. Main pool bar ran out of beer daily Guest room wasn’t always restocked daily with towels, tissues, and drinks. Had to call multiple times to front desk to try and get items. I have been to multiple Sandals Resorts and the it seems like the management of this resort is lacking severely. Read less

Another wonderful trip to this beautiful resort! My husband and I stay at this resort every year in an overwater bungalow. One of the primary reasons we come back each year is the top-notch, professional and fun butler team we have during our stays. Karen, Kersharma and Keicher are the absolute best and always go above and beyond what is expected in order to make our stay an amazing and fun experience. I actually plan the dates of our trips to make sure they are available! I will say that over the past two years it is clear the OWBs are becoming very worn and need some updating and repairs, but I do still love them. This year we brought my parents who stayed in a Beachfront 1 Bedroom Butler Suite, which was huge and very nice. Their butler team of Kerwin, Shervon and Sabie were also great and took good care of my parents. The grounds of this resort are beautiful and it is clear from talking to some of the landscape workers that they take great pride in keeping the resort grounds well maintained. And then there is Peter at the pool bar, who always has a smile and a great idea for a drink for us. He is fantastic and I hope he never retires! If you can’t tell by this review yet, the thing that makes this resort so special is the people that work there. They are all so friendly and lovely and make us feel like we are coming home when we arrive and during our stay. This resort also has lots of options depending on what you like. There is a lively main pool with lots of music and fun, a quiet pool for quiet relaxation and a beautiful large beach and swimming area (the water is clear and you can snorkel right off the beach). There are quite a few good and varied restaurant options as well. Also, if you want a quiet night, there are lots of nice seating areas away from the activity to sit and have a quiet drink. If you want something more lively, there always seems to be something going on, including a nightly show. The shows are well done and the dancers, singers and other performers are very good. Thanks again to all of the staff (and especially our butlers) for making this trip for both us and my parents a memorable and special trip. Read less

Letter I sent to the Manager about our experience, NO REPLY. We received your email thanking us for our visit to Sandals Grande. I would like to take some time and tell you about our experience. Unfortunately, this is not going to be a I loved our stay at your property email and I have still to do my review. I will wait on my review until I receive an email back from you. We arrived on April 4th. Our arrival was handled well and although it was a long shuttle drive, it went without a hitch. Once we got to the hotel, our room was not ready, so we had to wait for about an hour, no big deal. Club level staff were very good, and took great care of us on our arrival. We are scuba divers and were looking forward to diving in St. Lucia. Our first encounter with the Aqua Center was when we went to inquire about diving and at the desk we encountered Rochelle. She was from the start very unfriendly, she was condescending to my husband and I, and was very hard to deal with. She has a very unprofessional attitude and her customer service skills are basically nonexistent. I am a retired Executive Corporate Travel Counselor, I know and understand Customer Service after 36 years in the business working with CEO'S/Executives from major Corporations. I reported her to the Club level office. I am surprised you were not informed by the young lady/manager in the club level office, as I did ask her to tell the manager on duty. My husband encountered another issue with the Aqua Center, but was able to get that resolved by speaking to the supervisor on duty. Now, comes the saddest part about our trip, the Restaurant's. The best one we ate at was Gordon's. Manager served our food, service was excellent and the surf and turf was great. The Italian restaurant for breakfast was very good. We went back there in the evening and arrived at 730p, put our name in for a table and waited, waited, waited in the bar area for our name to be called. Never happened. My husband eventually, after 40 mins, went to the host station and the man said he did call out our name. I find that hard to believe, we never left the bar area. There was a lady calling out room numbers from the buffet restaurant and everyone heard her no matter where they were sitting. The host finally seats us and we get menus. We ordered our appetizer and main entrée, our appetizer came, but no entrée. It is now 920pm and everyone around us has eaten, or been served, some getting dessert. My husband asked where our food was and we were told, oh it is coming. At that point, I was pretty fed up with poor service and no longer wanted to eat; so we left. The best lunch place was Dinos. Always, hot fresh pizza. Great ice cream too. All other restaurants were very unremarkable with long wait times, rushed waitresses, and employees seemed unhappy. This brings me to the worst restaurant experience of all. Tuesday night we ate at the Japanese restaurant, Kimonos. We each had an appetizer, it was a scallop and a shrimp, served cold. Dinner was ok, presentation was entertaining, food was bland, but we ate it. Around 2AM, I became extremely ill, uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea. This continued all night and by Wednesday morning we called the doctor. The nurse and doctor came to the room, I couldn't leave the bathroom. I was diagnosed with food poisoning, given intravenous saline for dehydration, and 2 bags of antibiotics in our room. The nurse also gave me pills to take home as I was leaving on Thursday. I had heard earlier in the week of other people getting the same symptoms and it seems food poisoning was happening a lot! My bill came to $1303.80. WOW, that is a lot of money to pay for something I had no control over....being poisoned by Sandal's restaurant. We filled out a form about where we ate for 2 days and the only place I could have gotten food poisoning was Kimonos. Tuesday we had Room service for breakfast, Dinos for lunch and dinner at Kimonos. We never left the property except diving on the Sandals boat. Thursday morning for our farewell breakfast, my husband and I went to the buffet. I ate a bagel and cream cheese and my husband wanted eggs, etc. Unfortunately, the eggs were runny, not cooked, sitting in a warmer that had not gotten up to temperature as the red light was still flashing. ALL the warmers were still flashing red! My husband notified the waitress, she told her supervisor who came to our table to thank us for letting her know. My husband went to the buffet to try to find something different to have for breakfast and overheard the supervisor instructing the chef to remove the eggs and get new ones. She said, "come over here it is important" as he was standing in the doorway of the kitchen". Sandals Grande has a food safety issue and needs to better educate staff about cross-contamination of food and food temperatures. I think Sandals would be well served to check with Medical about how many reports were made about sickness. Also, checking your coveted reviews. I am still not feeling 100pct, and continue taking the medications prescribed by the doctor at Sandals. I will see my own physician this week. We paid $7901.70 for 7 nights at Sandals Grande, which works out to be $1,128.81 USD per night. Through no fault of my own, I lost my last day of my vacation Wednesday April 10th! Sandals owes me something, I would like 1 day refunded back to my credit card, and my doctor bill paid by Sandals. I fully intend on reviewing the property, but will wait to review it until I hear back from you. Everyone always asks for your room number, when you complain, eat, dive, whatever. Not once did anyone from Management, even inquire if our issues were satisfactorily resolved, or come to talk to us about anything. The medical staff were great, the only other staff person who cared enough to ask how I was doing Thursday morning was the "CLEANING LADY"! She was very kind. Our room was Club Level 2111. April 4-11. Sandals wants to be recognized as a Premiere Resort, then it needs to act as such. This was my first vacation at Sandals and it may well be my last. Read less

Sandals Grande St. Lucia was the perfect resort for our honeymoon! After just getting scuba certified right before coming on this trip, we had the opportunity to go on seven dives! I strongly recommend scuba diving because the dive sites in St. Lucia are breathtaking. Additionally, the entire scuba crew is amazing and so helpful. Our photographers Yannick and Ansel knew exactly what they were doing when it came to photoshoots. They took beautiful pictures of us on the beach at sunset. The shows are very entertaining; Jessenia has the voice of an angel— she’s in the show called Burlesque! Also, Chrisi at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind to us. Finally, the restaurant Soy has the best salmon sashimi. Read less
