The hotel

Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort is an adults-only, all-suite hotel, just 10 minutes north of Cancun. Where is it

On a lovely white sand beach in the resort of Playa Mujeres. Just a 10-minute drive north from Downtown Cancun in an exclusive gated community, located inside a championship 18-hole Playa Mujeres Golf Course, designed by golf legend Greg Norman. Transfer time from airport: 35 minutes.

This was our 5th time at SPM - April, 2024. Our expectations were exceeded. Everything was even better than our last visit in 2023. The service and food are both amazing. Every speciality restaurant exceeded our expectations with diverse menus and excellent service. We ate early (at 6pm), so never had to wait, and the service was top notch. The beach and pool are both wonderful. Finding lounge chairs was not a problem. We stayed in a non-preferred room in building 2 on the third floor overlooking the pool (and the ocean way off in the distance). The rooms are a little dated, but very clean. I witnessed on-going cosmetic renovations throughout (painting & small repairs), which I assume will continue into the rooms. We are booked again for next year. Why?? The staff...they are the best, so friendly & professional. They made our stay so memorable. You can tell everyone really enjoys working here. Thank you staff and management for an amazing week! The waiters at every restaurant, except the French restaurant, were rude and looked miserable. And we even tipped well at each restaurant. The food was just ok. The entertainment there was terrible. I was shocked about how bad it was at the pool during the day. We have been to many all inclusives, and this one had no clue about their audience. They didn't even have a dj during the day. They had a trumpet player on a Sunday. It was so boring and out of date. Honestly, there are better resorts for the price you pay. Save your money. Read less

This resort was beautiful. Very laidback. All of the staff that we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. The room was great and clean. We 10/10 recommend the spa! Everything we ate was good. It was a fantastic place for us to spend our honeymoon.

The staff are all excellent, especially the entertainment staff! Felix is always having a good time, and making sure everyone he interacts with is having the most fun!
