Food was prepared for us as an entertainment excursion. The group was very small but it was well worth the experience. Very good food was served throughout a three course meal of lunch. The chefs demonstrated how to prepare different foods and we got to do hands on cooking with them. Well worth the experience

My mom and I went here to celebrate my 40th birthday. The beach area was gorgeous, and the pools were great. The food was pretty good, the service was great and the room was fabulous. We had a balcony with a view of the bay and the ocean which was wonderful! We watched the sun rise every morning.

I highly highly suggest booking this resort. It absolutely exceeded our expectations and we already can’t wait to go back. The resort is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The service overall from housekeeping to restaurants to pool/beach staff is top notch. The food was the best we have ever had at a resort. I have dietary restrictions and I was able to get everything fully customized and gluten free We loved not having to make reservations as well The app is also very helpful with checking out restaurants and menus ahead of time, full daily listing of activities, booking room service ahead of time and any inquiries or assistance you need. We always received a response within a few minutes. The view is amazing and I also recommend upgrading to the preferred club so you have access to the 12th floor pool and restaurant It is definitely a more relaxing environment but there is the perfect amount of entertainment ! I went to The Vine Cancun for a week with my girlfriend and her parents. It was overall a great stay with just a couple of hiccups. First of all I want to give a big shout out to the entertainment team. Especially Angel and Diego, they are absolutely fantastic! Easily the highlight of our trip was getting to know them and participate in as many of the activities they hosted as possible. Super friendly, fun, and amazing guys. The resort and scenery around is beautiful. Not much to complain about there except for some beach umbrellas around the resort that have holes in them and need replacing. That being said I'm just being nitpicky, it wasn't a big deal. Our room was gorgeous with a great view. I did notice a lot of the outlet covers were kind of just hanging off the wall, not super secure. Not sure if that's a safety concern with the wiring and all but I thought I would bring it up. We had a leak a couple of days into our stay from the roof. We went to bed and in the morning found the roof leaking water right into the hall by our day into the bedroom area. We called down and they did have someone come up in less than an hour to fix it and all was well after that. It does potentially speak to the quality of the buildings construction though. The food and drinks were quite good, no complaints there except for the absurdly long wait times at the steakhouse. I'm not talking about the wait to get in, but having to wait almost half an hour for someone to come take our order, appetizers not coming for over 45 minutes. Just every single thing once inside the restaurant took so long. We weren't sure if that one restaurant was jus severely understaffed but in the week we were there we went twice and it wasn't just a one time thing. This was not the case in any of the other restaurants at the resort. Bartenders were amazing over all except for one in the piano bar. I don't recall his name but there was one guy who had quite the attitude with everyone, even with very friendly and tipping guests. Most of the shows were great with a few exceptions. I won't name them as I believe taste in shows can be quite subjective. I've gone on for a while but in conclusion it was a fantastic time besides a couple little things. We were sad to leave and will miss everyone there. Can't wait to go again! Read less

Call me crazy, but I assumed when you pay over $1000.00 a night at an all-inclusive resort, you would have a chair at the pool and a table at a restaurant without an hour’s wait. Immediately after checking in, we were greeted by someone trying to sell us a “vacation package.” We could not get rid of him, and he was offended and rude when we told him we were not interested. After waiting for our room to be ready in the hot lobby for over 3 hours, I decided we were canceling our reservation or upgrading to a premium room. We were able to upgrade to a fantastic corner room on the 27th floor. I can’t say enough about the room and the incredible views. However, the rest of the premium services and resort are not worth the price. We have stayed at multiple resorts in Cancun for less money with better amenities and service. The premium lounge is extremely small, seating only 8 people inside and 4 outside. There is not enough room for 8 floors of guests, and it is not a relaxing space for food or drink. The pools were very disappointing. There are not enough pool chairs to accommodate the number of rooms at the resort. There are 3 pools on the beach level, and 1 is cruise ship size, where it is standing room only. And the beach views from the cruise pool are obstructed by rows of people in pool chairs and umbrellas. You can stand in one corner of the pool to see the ocean, but you are also looking at heads and inappropriately exposed body parts of the people sitting in front of you. The other 2 pools are lower in the ground and all you see is tile, not ocean. If you want to go to the pool at 6 am or 4 pm, you might get lucky and find a chair. On our last day, we paid extra for a cabana so we could get a pool chair. The premium-level pool on the 12th floor was very disappointing. It is an infinity pool but you have to look through glass panels with bird poop on the glass and see all the rubber sealant on the concrete between the pool and the glass. The service on the 12th-floor pool was non-existent. People coming in after 3 were told the pool was closed. Numerous staff members showed up at 3 with carts to pack up chairs, cushions, and umbrellas instead of serving drinks, which was not relaxing. The specialty restaurants are very crowded with long waits. We booked this trip at the last minute, so I accepted the higher prices for an adults-only resort, but will not be staying at a Secrets property again. Read less
