We spent a week in the sun with good friends in February so things could be a lot worse but would like to still provide an honest review of Windjammer. Pros: Beautiful seting. Nice beach, great water sports. Excursions were also great. Staff definitely tries to be helpful. Shanna at the SPA is amazing. Book her. Cons: Not really all inclusive. You have to sign for everything - becuase tips are expected - there is a line for tips on bill. Food is mediocre. Bland seasoning and overcooked fish and meats. Not all units are fully airconditioned. In our villa, there was AC only in the bedroom, None in the living area none in the bathroom. We requested an additional fan to be told 3 days later that there were none on site. Villas are spread out and depending on where your villa is it can be a very long and hilly walk from the lobby to accommodations. Shuttles run 24-7 but not on demand AND sometimes did not show for 15 minutes. Walk up the hill to our villa at the end of the day was not something to look foward to. Spa is beautiful but extremely disorganized and each therapist/employee is on commission (which we figured out a bit later). Some interesting interactions based on that. Billing was a mess. 2 of the 4 couples had significant billing errors on the invoice at the end of the week, that needed to be dealt with on our last day. No easy means to get cash - no ATM on site and cash withdrawl with credit card is limited to $50 with substantial fees. Read less

I especially like the active water sports- sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, waterskiing all included with the cost of the villa. The water sports support team is outstanding, always helpful, always obliging and very attentive to guest safety. Gordon deserves special praise for running this excellent operation for many years years.True, the ride from the airport to the resort is long (more than 1 hour) and expensive, but that is true for most of the best resorts, and it is well worth it to get to this little bit of paradise on earth.
