Was so excited to finally be returning to this resort with my best friend after 7 long years.  Our last stay was so amazing. However, we, unfortunately, were left somewhat disappointed in how things have changed since then. The beach is still amazing, and we went every day, but sad to see that Breezes doesn’t seem concerned at all with cleaning up the seagrass that littered the beach. I was told that there is a tractor that does other sections daily, but the Breezes section never gets done because the management refuses to pay for the service.  Breezes has the best part of the beach, and they left it a mess all week. What a shame. The food is still very decent, and we never went hungry. However, the options at the buffet were very limited in comparison to our last stay. Our favourite food was still available which made us both very happy. The Beach Grill still makes the best Greek Crab Salad and Jerk Chicken. Had to have it every single day for lunch. The rooms in the East Tower are very dated and tired. The bedding consisted of one flat sheet and an old bedspread from the 80’s. There was no top sheet, and we got attitude when we requested one from the night receptionist on the desk. We were actually told they don’t provide top sheets because “that is how Bahamians sleep”. It was totally unsanitary to expect people to sleep under only a prickly, itchy old bedspread with harsh seams that does not get cleaned/replaced daily and likely had someone else’s naked a$$ under it before we arrived. This method may be acceptable for the bedding in the West tower, where the beds have duvets with removable duvet covers that get changed, but not for these beds in the East tower! Not impressed with a few rude and dismissive staff who worked reception on the night shift that first weekend we were there who also refused to do anything about the constant issues we had with unruly and unsupervised teenagers from the "Blue" track team that Breezes had booked in and moved into rooms surrounding ours.  These nasty, poorly behaved teens ran up and down the halls screaming, laughing, slamming doors, and knocking on doors constantly for hours on end, even until 5 and 6 in the morning! We did not get any sleep because of the disturbances those first 2 nights, and neither the front desk staff nor the security staff gave a sh!t. We were not offered a move either. The poor ladies in housekeeping were left with trashed rooms and damage. We felt so bad for the housekeeping staff. They did not deserve the disrespectful condition those kids left those rooms in! Thankfully, these unsupervised kids (where the heck was their coach???) were gone by Monday night. We thought we had weathered the storm until we found out the next day that apparently 600 or so more teens were coming later in the week, hosted by something called Grad City. When the hell did Breezes turn into a friggin frat house?? It was at this point that we decided there was no way we were going to risk staying in that East Tower and have it filled again with kids.  We went down to the lobby and asked for a room change to avoid further problems before they arrived. Thankfully, the reception staff were much more understanding and found us a much better room in the West Tower. The day we checked out, we saw the onslot of teens arriving. It looked like you would imagine spring breakers descending on Fort Lauderdale or a scene out of the movies Animal House and Neighbors!  We were never so glad to be heading home from a resort! One saving grace for Breezes is that there were still many amazing staff here who were very welcoming, helpful, and friendly. They make all the difference. I would really like to give a shout out to some of the star staff here. They deserve to know they are valued and appreciated very much. SHERILYN-  Server -ala carte Restaurants, MARILIA- Main Buffet Server, SHANTIA- Pool Bar Bartender - Great vibe & mixologist! KEISA- Pool Bar Bartender INEZ BROWN!!- Omlette chef who cooks with love & has the best smile! The Housekeeping crew & the head housekeeper (forget her name) who was so gracious and a pleasure to talk to. Honestly, you all deserve so much love and a better work environment than what we saw at times this week! If not for you, I would have only given this resort a 1 star, but even still, I can not justify giving it anything above a 2 star right now.  If I were to break it down separately, the exceptional staff alone (with the exception of the rude night reception that first weekend) would get 5 stars. We wish nothing but the best for you in the future. If somehow the management realizes the decision to turn this resort into a frat house was a mistake that is driving away decent repeat customers & returns it to its former glory, then maybe we will return and see you again one day. If not, we will probably never be back & and can not recommend this resort. Read less

My wife and I travelled to Breezes in May of 2023 and enjoyed ourselves so much that we’ve decided to make it our annual stay when visiting the Bahamas. We just got back from our stay there (Apr 12-Apr 20), and were impressed by some of the upgrades and property improvements that have been undertaken in the past year. Seasonal storms can take a toll on seaside properties, and Breezes management are managing to maintain and flourish. The staff have always been kind, I think that you get out of people what you invest. We look forward to our next trip to Breezes, and look forward to seeing all of the staff we have come to appreciate. Special thanks to Will, Vonasha and Niketo (fantastic and personable bar staff) - Piano Bar/Pool Bar Sherilyn - top notch wait staff member And of course, Inez - best omelettes and conversationalist. Appreciate you! Love you all! Dave & Tarryn Read less

Upon arriving, my family was greeted with a lovely Carribean cocktail, which was a delightful surprise. The staff during our stay was super helpful, and one person in particular approached us at the pool to introduce himself. He made our vacation all the more sunny, and his name was Sonny. He introduced us to activities that were going on throughout the day at Breezes, such as mini golf in the sand, darts, Bahamian dance lessons, volleyball, and bocce ball. He encouraged us to join, and we are so glad that we did, because we ended up engaging with so many more people. In the evenings, Sonny and another wonderful staff member, Joshua, guided us to the fun game with matchbox cars called "Bumper to Bumper." We played nearly every night after discovering it. (NOTE: pack a tiny car from home in your suitcase!) Sonny was kind, informative, full of information, and a joy to see every time he was working. On our final night, in the main room there was a Bahamian celebration dance that was colorful, rhythmic, and wonderful. Sonny had mentioned to us during that day to come down for it. The whole staff was phenomenal, really, and my son had one of the best days ever juggling and learning from Pops. This resort has their stuff together in terms of making it fun for visitors. The food was amazing, as well. The buffet line had constantly changing options with local spices, and there were other on site restaurants that offered delicious meals as well. Kudos to the entire team that works so hard behind the scenes to make it a fun and comfortable visit. My family will be back! Read less
