Our new direct Virgin Atlantic service to Dubai takes off four times a week from London Heathrow on the 30th October 2023 until 30th March 2024.
The seasonal, weekly service offers outbound flights that are overnight, so when searching for your holiday you will need to add an additional night to your search.

October to March
If you prefer things a little cooler then we have some fantastic holiday options for you between the months of October and March. Temperatures during this period are a much more pleasant 23-29°C. If this is still too much, then a December average of around 20°C may be the ideal time to visit and escape the winter blues back home.
Fancy going camel racing? How about scuba diving, or hitting the history trail, or eating delicious food or… well, just about anything you can imagine as part of an Arabian adventure? Ras al Khaimah holidays offer you all this, and a ton of other cool things you genuinely won’t find anywhere else.

Jebel Jais is the UAE's highest mountain and offers up some incredible views, along with some hair-raising adventure activities such as Jais Flight and Jais Sledder. For those looking to take it slow, why not head to viewing deck park and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
The Southern Wadis, including Asimah, Daftah, Munay’i, Shawka, Qawr, and Wadi Safarfir, are almost completely unexplored and full of ancient bits and pieces. Pack plenty of water, a bullwhip, and a treasure map.
It's not all mountains and adventure in Ras Al Khaimah, there's also glorious golden beaches and Flamingo Beach is the perfect example. This easily accessible beach is popular with both tourists and locals alike, with thanks to it's soft sands and warm waters.
Ras al Khaimah is a flipper flapper’s paradise. Crystal-clear, warm water, reefs filled with fish, and great guides who’ll take you out to the best spots. If you’re new to diving then there are PADI-approved dive centres along the coast, where you can get your open water certificate.
If you’re a golfer then there are two clubs to choose from, both of which have excellent greens. Tower Links is an 18-hole course, while the Al Hamra Golf Club offers a shorter 9-hole course.
With tombs dating back to 2,600BC (don’t get too excited, they’ve already been raided and the shiny stuff’s all been nabbed), this ancient site gives you a glimpse into the Arabian Gulf’s past.
If you’re travelling on a British Citizen passport, you can get a visitor’s visa on arrival in the UAE. This visa allows visitors to stay in the UAE for up to 30 days. The visa terminates automatically on departure and a new visa is issued on arrival each time the visitor returns to the UAE.
Ramadan is estimated to be from 10th March - 8th April 2024. Visiting during this period offers a fascinating insight into Emirati culture and religious traditions.
