If you prefer things a little cooler then we have some fantastic holiday options for you between the months of October and March. Temperatures during this period are a much more pleasant 23-29°C. If this is still too much, then a December average of around 20°C may be the ideal time to visit and escape the winter blues back home.

Ras al Khaimah is a flipper flapper’s paradise. Crystal-clear, warm water, reefs filled with fish, and great guides who’ll take you out to the best spots. If you’re new to diving then there are PADI-approved dive centres along the coast, where you can get your open water certificate.

If you’re a golfer then there are two clubs to choose from, both of which have excellent greens. Tower Links is an 18-hole course, while the Al Hamra Golf Club offers a shorter 9-hole course.

With tombs dating back to 2,600BC (don’t get too excited, they’ve already been raided and the shiny stuff’s all been nabbed), this ancient site gives you a glimpse into the Arabian Gulf’s past.

When to visit?
Ras Al Khaimah enjoys a year round warm climate with very little rainfall. Virgin Atlantic operate a winter service during which the weather is a more manageable temperature.

Do I need a visa?

If you’re travelling on a British Citizen passport, you can get a visitor’s visa on arrival in the UAE. This visa allows visitors to stay in the UAE for up to 30 days. The visa terminates automatically on departure and a new visa is issued on arrival each time the visitor returns to the UAE.

Payment flexibility

Don’t worry if you’ve missed a payment or just need a little more time to pay; we have options available to help you. If your holiday is going ahead as planned, you can continue to pay for your holiday in Manage my booking, even if travelling in less than 12 weeks. If you’re unsure, you can delay any additional payments by choosing a new time to travel by requesting a call back in Manage My booking for one of our team to look at options. If your holiday is more than 6 months away, you may wish to set up a Direct Debit to spread the cost. This can be arranged whilst rebooking or afterwards in Manage my booking.

If we haven’t notified you of any changes, your holiday will be going ahead as planned but if you prefer to move your holiday to a later time we can help. You can call our team on 0344 472 9499 who can look at options for you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding

Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.
