Atmosphere was absolutely stunning. The view could NOT be beat. The food was excellent. But the the experience was made phenomenal by our server Georgie. She was the sweetest, most attentive, and caring person that took care of us at Baha Mar.

Super shady hotel. Called to upgrade from a king room to one bedroom residence suite. Told me I had to cancel my existing reservation since it was prepaid and book again. I did as instructed, then they charged me $1,071.20 cancellation fee and refused to refund because I could not remember the name of the person that told me to cancel. Keep in… Read more

I did as instructed, then they charged me $1,071.20 cancellation fee and refused to refund because I could not remember the name of the person that told me to cancel. Keep in mind I stayed at the hotel for the same dates I originally booked, I just couldn’t prove their employee told me to rebook. I spent 3x as much as I was originally booked for on a nicer room, then had to pay the old reservation too. Shady is the only word to describe treating guests this way. Be aware! Read less

We had the most amazing dinner at Carna and our server, Keith went above and beyond! His attention to detail and kindness with singing Happy Birthday to our son was the best!! The food, ambiance and service was next level! Can’t wait to come back!!

This vacation was meant to be a special celebration for my wife's birthday, a getaway to the SLS Hotel at Baha Mar in the Bahamas. Our anticipation was high and the beginning was as smooth as we had hoped, with a pleasant flight and a warm welcome from the Baha Mar team upon landing. The hotel's proximity to the airport and the kindness of our driver added to our initial excitement. However, upon arrival at the hotel, our experience took a frustrating turn. Despite our scheduled booking, we faced an unexpected and lengthy delay at check-in. We were kept waiting nearly five hours, a delay that seemed unusually long as other guests checked in and received their rooms. It wasn’t until I pressed for answers and demanded action that we were finally accommodated. Eager to put the rocky start behind us, we freshened up and dined at Katsuya for dinner. The meal was exquisite – from the tuna sushi to the beef short rib, and our server’s attentive care lifted our spirits. The evening culminated with a birthday cocktail at the Skybar rooftop and some light-hearted gambling at the casino, ending what we hoped would be the start of a few good days. Unfortunately, the trip took a dramatic turn that night. Both of us woke up with severe stomach pains and symptoms consistent with food poisoning, which persisted excruciatingly for the next three days. Our attempts to seek help from the hotel staff were met with skepticism and inadequate responses. The situation was poorly handled, with staff doubting our reports and showing little compassion towards our distress. They relocated us to another room due to a separate issue with leaks but remained dismissive about our health concerns. The remainder of our stay was spent battling illness, with every attempt to eat leading to immediate regret. The hotel’s gesture of a $150 credit felt like a slap in the face against the backdrop of our suffering and the nearly $4000 we had spent hoping for a memorable experience. Reflecting on this trip, it's deeply disappointing to recount the lack of empathy and support from the hotel staff during such a dire situation. This experience at the SLS Hotel at Baha Mar, marked by poor service and a dismissive attitude towards our wellbeing, was not only the worst vacation but also an eye-opener to the importance of genuine hospitality, which was sorely missing. I cannot recommend this hotel, certainly not to my loved ones, and our story serves as a cautionary tale to others looking for a carefree vacation in the Bahamas. Read less
