Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach, Gold Coast Beaches

Virgin rating

The hotel

Playing to its own beat, Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach is worthy of rock megastar status. The latest release from Hard Rock, International, its oceanfront pool could happily grace any music video, its R&R options would satiate any VIP, its Sessions restaurant has a celeb-style vibe, and its rooms are decked out with 50ˈˈ HDTVs (just don’t be tempted to throw yours out the window in ‘rock star’ style). This being a Hard Rock hangout, music pulses throughout – whether it’s the live band playing as your seafood cravings are satisfied at Wave Terrace, or the rhythmic massages at the Rock Spa® & Salon, where bass vibrations pulsate through your body for an energising lift. Even your room plays along, with the iconic Sounds of Your Stay program letting you jam to vinyl records on a Crosley turntable or rock out on a genuine Fender guitar.

This hotel experience was utterly disappointing from start to finish. I caution anyone in search of a decent place to stay to steer clear of the Hard Rock, Daytona. From abysmal customer service to unacceptable room conditions, this hotel fell short in every aspect. To begin with, the staff's attitude was shockingly rude, and any semblance of customer care seemed non-existent. Upon entering my initial room, I was greeted by the stench of smoke, and the state of the carpets left much to be desired. Despite requesting a room change, the next one lacked hot water, rendering any attempt at a hot shower futile. Adding insult to injury, the robe provided was not only dirty but also frayed, suggesting a lack of attention to cleanliness and maintenance. Seeking resolution, I attempted to escalate the matter to management, only to be met with the excuse that no manager was available—an unacceptable oversight in any reputable hotel. My subsequent room proved equally unsatisfactory, situated inconveniently behind the elevator, a location I refused to accept. While the following room did have hot water, it was marred by other issues including very thin walls which forced me to listen to screaming kids at 11 pm at night. Also, the TV lacked an internet connection, rendering my Chrome-cast unusable. Despite assurances of assistance, the promised engineer failed to materialize, leaving me to abandon streaming my iPad to the tv. In summary, my stay at this hotel was ruined by a litany of disappointments, from the deplorable state of the rooms, to the indifferent and unresponsive staff. For those in search of a comfortable and enjoyable stay, I wholeheartedly recommend looking elsewhere. This hotel falls far short of even the most basic standards of hospitality. While some of my complaints might seem trivial, please take into account that the price of this hotel is over 250.00 a night with fees and parking. Anyone who values service and a clean room and a hot shower would see agree that this is a waste of money. Read less

And make sure to visit the store. I think what was so impressive was that the beach outside of the hotel was large vs down further to the loud, more chaotic area; they have so little beach that everyone is crowded together. Worth the money and they stay and experience! You are within walking distance to the peabody too! Read less
