Where is it

Located on Jumeirah Beach. Close to visitor attractions including the Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Marina Mall and walking distance to the JBR shopping and dinning strip. Transfer time from Dubai International Airport: 30 minutes.

In the context of luxury Dubai, this is a rather modest hotel. 20 years ago it was probably a very luxurious hotel, but the development in this field has been very fast in Dubai and it can no longer compete with newer hotels. Also, everything is quite worn (but everything works and nothing is broken). This is one of the most affordable hotels on JBR beach that has its own beach area (many hotels are by the beach, but they don't have their own territory on the beach and you have to rent sunbeds from the beach club). If you can accept that everything is a bit worn, then this hotel is an OK choice. The hotel has a large swimming pool in the garden and the third floor terrace has an (adults only) infinity pool overlooking the bay and also its own beach area with sun loungers. There were always enough free sunbeds everywhere. The room (Club Oceanfront Room) was a nice size and the bed was comfortable and the view was good too. We bought the Executive Lounge package and it was a good decision - the package included breakfast in a separate lounge with a beautiful view, in peace without crowds (the same selection of food as in the main breakfast restaurant), afternoon tea which included a selection of mini sandwiches and cakes, and an evening happy hour, which in addition to alcoholic drinks for drinks and cocktails also included a selection of various savory snacks, cakes and fruits. We didn't go anywhere else to eat, because what was offered in the Lounge was enough. The selection of meals was not very rich and there were no delicacies, but everything was OK. The service was good, but not great - the comparison is with the previous hotel in Dubai where everything was much better. Wi-Fi was OK, but there was no more coverage on the beach. JBR Walk starts about 10 minutes walk away. The beach was good, the sea gets deep very quickly, the water was a beautiful color, but not transparent. The sockets are of the old English type, but you can borrow adapters from the reception. There is no socket suitable for a hair dryer in the bathroom. While taking a shower, water leaked onto the bathroom floor. There are a lot of switches in the room, the function of which I don't understand, and there is no master off switch. There are two constructions going on in the hotel territory (a new skyscraper and a new beach club) and the construction noise is quite strong. Both constructions are still in the initial phase and probably have to endure this noise here for a few more years. Read less

Another fantastic stay at the Habtoor Grand Hotel. The hotel is immaculate and the staff are extremely professional and courteous. We were lucky enough to have access to the club lounge which is a lovely place for breakfast and evening drinks. Another fantastic stay at the Habtoor Grand Hotel. The hotel is immaculate and the staff are extremely professional and courteous. We were lucky enough to have access to the club lounge which is a lovely place for breakfast and evening drinks. The only downside was Andreas beach club had been demolished and there was some construction work going on… both of which we were unaware of at the time of booking. However, the Horizon pool was a good substitute and it didn’t affect our stay too much. Special recognition to Nazu who kept our room looking immaculate throughout our stay and my partner loved the animals he made out of the towels! Mohsin the doorman and Kaleem the bell boy were also great and ensured we had a car whenever needed and offered a helping hand as and when required. I certainly look forward to visiting again! My stay at the Habtoor Grand Resort was wonderful. The staff has been excellent in performing their chosen tasks. The food and service has been great. I would definitely recommend this resort to other people.
