Meritage Resort and Spa

Napa, Napa Valley Wine Region

Virgin rating

The hotel

You know you’ve reached wine country when you arrive at Meritage Resort & Spa. On the threshold of Napa Valley, its design may be Tuscan-inspired, but its soul is pure Napa, with views of a grapevine-covered slope as you swim, hiking (or strolling) trails through nine acres of vineyards, an underground tasting room, and wine served at every turn. But it’s also a place that recognises exceptional wine should be paired with life’s other luxuries: separate adult and family pools, al fresco fireplaces and whirlpools, lazy Sunday brunches, and wining and dining venues like award-winning Siena, the Crush bowling lounge, a café-come-gelateria, and a luxury wine bar. But it’s the Estate Cave that promises the most indulgence; 40 ft underground, it hosts a wine tasting room and Spa Terra’s steam grottos and soaking pools.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Best Prenatal Massage Ever!

Had the best massage with Mercer! I’m 34 weeks pregnant and he was so naturally in tune with all the things this big old pregnant mama needed. It was the first time in months that I felt comfortable and was truly able to relax. He is a complete professional and clearly loves what he does.

Still have not received a refund in over $1000, no one has called me back in over a week. Every time I call I am told I’ll be called back. This is absolutely absurd.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great potential, but missing the details

Apr 30, 2024 jameslbury

Layout, concepts, and amenities are all thought out and has potential for great resort, but too many details fall short in execution. Staff friendly and helpful, but feels undermanned, inexperienced, or inadequately managed to get top ratings and be worth the high nightly rate. 4 is too high, 3 too low.

We were not given the room we reserved. We needed a 1 bedroom because of our children. So, the kids were up all night.
