The hotel

Just steps away from the white sands and surfboards of Southern California, the Seabird Resort is a coastal estate in which you can relax, eat and drink, and get pampered to your hearts content. The hotel offers a beach concierge service with chairs, umbrellas and other essential supplies for you. The standard rooms are spacious, plenty of which offer ocean views - but if you're travelling as a larger group then the suites offer expansive balconies, large soaking tubs, and that extra bit of luxury for your stay. At the Shore Room you'll find iconic views, ocean delicacies, and craft cocktails - often accompanied by live acoustic music sets on 'Sparkling Sundays'. Sunny's Spa and and Beauty Lounge is on hand, whatever treatment you may be after, or relaxing on the chaise lounges around the pool could be enough for you! The hotel is next door to the sister resort, Mission Pacific Hotel, which offers a rooftop bar with live DJ sessions if you're looking for a more lively evening out.

All of the amenities were perfect. The whole hotel area is clean and welcoming, with a great view of the Pacific Ocean.

Booked the Seabird for my wife's birthday from Sunday night through Monday via AMEX FHR. The room and facility was nice, but the service was abysmal, and the food was subpar. I'd much rather stay at the Mission Pacific if I ever came back to the area. Details below: Pros: Location is fantastic and steps away from the beach and dining options, oceanfront view is great Hotel is new and the room was nice, albeit somewhat smelly when we first arrived, but disappeared after we aired it out Piper generally delivered tasty food and decent service Cons: Service here SUCKS. Communicated repeatedly on the reservation, prior to check-in via text, and in person for a pack and play crib, but didn't have one upon arrival. Had to call twice and wait over an hour for one to be sent up Food was cold and orders came out incorrectly; Mother's day breakfast was a fiasco also, and took 30 minutes to get a high-chair and over an hour for food. I would've walked away like several other groups I saw if not for the breakfast credit. Food came out cold, bland, and incorrect in the case of my order. I had to ask for the cheddar grits I originally ordered (received potatoes instead), and ended up with a bowl of plain hot grits, which ended up being the best thing we ate that morning Don't expect to get an upgrade for AMEX FHR or for them to even get you checked in timely, despite seeing wide availability days prior to my stay, no room upgrades were available, and my room was not ready until after 4:00pm (12:00 is an option for FHR bookings). Also had to remind them to take off the subpar breakfast charge when I checked out The hot tub heater was broken and was colder than the pool Read less

The Seabird Resort was exceptionally clean, well decorated, and had a host of great amenitieis including multiple bar areas, outside fire pits, a library for remote work, and pool. The resort was gorgeous with very spacious and well appointed rooms. I would certainly recommend The Seabird to anyone!
