The hotel

Just steps away from the white sands and surfboards of Southern California, the Seabird Resort is a coastal estate in which you can relax, eat and drink, and get pampered to your hearts content. The hotel offers a beach concierge service with chairs, umbrellas and other essential supplies for you. The standard rooms are spacious, plenty of which offer ocean views - but if you're travelling as a larger group then the suites offer expansive balconies, large soaking tubs, and that extra bit of luxury for your stay. At the Shore Room you'll find iconic views, ocean delicacies, and craft cocktails - often accompanied by live acoustic music sets on 'Sparkling Sundays'. Sunny's Spa and and Beauty Lounge is on hand, whatever treatment you may be after, or relaxing on the chaise lounges around the pool could be enough for you! The hotel is next door to the sister resort, Mission Pacific Hotel, which offers a rooftop bar with live DJ sessions if you're looking for a more lively evening out.

We had a wonderful suite overlooking the ocean. The view was great and the room spacious. However, the bed was old and the sides soft, which made one seem to be sleeping on an incline. We expected better beds for this expensive room. The TV in the living room didn't work properly, too. Also, we were there on April 1st (3 days total); the day… Read more

We expected better beds for this expensive room. The TV in the living room didn't work properly, too. Also, we were there on April 1st (3 days total); the day CA raised (fast food workers) wages to 20 bucks an hour. This resort immediately added a 6% sir charge to food/beverages, hidden in the fine print. Once again sticking it to the visitor; I don't believe this is a 'fast-food' joint! The fees CA state/municipalities/towns/counties...add ons are killing to any visitor. But, the view was great as was the location. Read less

Very kid friendly hotel (they have a literal wagon of toys for kids to pick through when you check in) plus the restaurant spaces are gorgeous, the spa is amazing, the pool is lovely, the beach is nice. We didn’t splurge on a special view but were given a room that had a partial view facing south, nice view of the water but also, to our kids’ enjoyment, of the railroad tracks where we could watch the trains go by (very little noise when balcony doors were shut, no problem). We happened to be there the day the pier caught fire—so sad—and could feel the community spirit saddened. I’m sure it’ll come back stronger than ever. Highly recommend booking a stay including a Thursday evening to catch the Sunset Market—so many food stands, bouncy houses, live music, etc. Had a blast and would love to return. Read less

My husband and I stayed at the Seabird to celebrate our honeymoon and it was quite literally the best hotel I have stayed in during our many years of traveling. The staff was phenomenal, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, the views are amazing and the food… I can’t even explain. I would live there if I could.
