The hotel

When you first think of Austin, you think of the eclectic live-music scene no doubt, and you’re not wrong. However, if you’re looking for a more relaxed vibe then the Renaissance Austin is an ideal way to explore the cultivated side of the city, with countryside views from your room and an extra bit of peace whilst still being within easy reach of the city centre. Located next to the Arboretum, an upmarket outdoor shopping mall with plenty of restaurants and events on offer, you’ll be able to grab a few bargains without having to worry about carrying your bags miles back to the hotel! The hotel itself features both an outdoor and indoor pool, catering for visits all year round. And if those steps around the mall aren’t enough, the Peloton room is on hand to blow off some steam before you head to the Knotty Deck & Bar to relax on the outdoor patio with a hand crafted cocktail and farm-to-table Texan cuisine.

Only one night but what a fantastic hotel in a lovely location with all the necessary amenities and friendly service. Modern and comfortable. Def recommend! Area is fulled with great stores and restaurants and so green. Has gym, and pool and hot tub, few food places and just large and bright.

The hotel is over priced, the facilities are limited, encouraging customers to order Uber if you want food no breakfast included. charged 60 dollars to park your car. Then takes a second payment from your bank over 900 dollars, for the three nights .I notified the front desk at the time, I was assured that the money would be returned the next working day. I am now home in Scotland tried to email raising my concerns however the email provided is automated and not manned. To top it off I have just found out that the same thing has happened to another guest travelling with us. The 900 dollars has been out of my account now for a week and I have no way of contacting the hotel directly. Read less

After a few bad experiences with the staff (especially the female front desk ladies who are very unfriendly), Matt is an absolute highlight! Thank you Matt for driving us around everywhere we wanted to go and recommending us the „things to do while in Austin“!

Matt is amazing! He is very welcoming and provides outstanding customer service. He is very informative and his genuine care for others shows with his smile. I look forward to returning to Renaissance in Austin to explore all the cool places near and around the area.

Matt is awesome. I am southwest crew and felt right at home. He was warm and kind and went out of his way to make sure we were properly accommodated, informing us about all the great aspects of the hotel’s location! He’s a gem. Thank you Matt for that good ‘ole southern hospitality!
