The hotel

Named for the mysterious woman who influenced the Battle of the Alamo, this 1920s structure is steeped in history. For almost 40 years, the Emily Morgan San Antonio has been delivering exceptional service to its guests, in a unique central location just steps from the Alamo Mission itself. Although the property is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, with its gothic-revival inspired tower standing proud, the amenities inside are all contemporary; comfortable beds and modern features can be found in all guest rooms, and the in-house restaurant, Oro, serves up Southwestern fare amongst sophisticated decor and dramatic views.

Now I choose rooms because of the view, so a little disappointed when the app didn’t allow me to choose I was given what was available because of a convention. I received at text from the front desk (Caleb) asking me how was my stay and if everything was going well. This was a game changer,I felt as if now I had a font desk personal assistant interested in my needs and was dedicated to ensuring I had the best stay possible. When I did have an issue, Lee was there to assist me with a room upgrade. The room was beautifully and more than I could have hoped for. I could actually see the parade from my window. The front desk, housekeeping and the restaurant staff were all top notch.I literally walked out the front door and crossed the street and was in the Alamo Gift Shop. So close to everything. Thanks again Caleb & Lee already booked for Christmas. See you Soon Read less

The service for our valet was awesome. They were courteous and super efficient. This was during Fiesta so it was a mad house but they handled all with professionalism. Everywas automated and I was able to schedule my pickup using my phone. Top notch and would highly recommended!!

When we booked the room, we were not told about the hotel having hot water issues. We went to clean up for a family event and there was nothing but cold water. When we spoke to two different front clerks were in different about the hot water issue. We spoke to a couple from England who said there has not been hot water for three or four days. Another lady was highly upset about the hot water issue stating she couldn’t even shower for two days after getting sweaty walking around the sites of San Antonio and now was flying home stinky, sticky, and feeling gross. The lobby area smelled of dirty mop water and strong cleaner. The air conditioning said is was 73.5° but it was freezing in the room and even after turning it off, because it wouldn’t adjust, it stayed freezing. I couldn’t stay in the room and woke up at 3 am to go outside to warm up. After all the years we have been Hilton Honors members, this is by far the worst place we have ever stayed in. I highly recommend you skip this place. We were fortunate to get a room for the second night at another hotel close by and have been treated extremely well here. The only decent employees were the parking attendants, Jay M. And Isaiah. I apologize to those two as I was unable to get cash to tip them as we were dealing with all the other issues. Troy F. I recently stayed at the Emily Morgan in San Antonio and had a wonderful stay. I had the pleasure of meeting Jose M when he took care of my car and he was a delight. He was very friendly and even asked me about my stay. I will definitely be coming back when I visit again.
